Travel Guide of Serbia

Serbia is one of the Balkans' most exciting holiday destinations, but often overlooked in favour of neighbours Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro and Macedonia. But booking holiday lettings in Serbia will provide you with a unique and unforgettable break: with distinct seasons and extremely varied landscapes, there's something to suit everyone here. There are National Parks and exciting cities, as well as skiing and spa resorts: head for the vibrant capital of Belgrade to discover the country's diverse and colourful cultures, or travel to Sokobanja to sample winter sports on snow-covered slopes. Whatever you want to do, choose holiday homes in Serbia: it has all manner of holidays covered!

Things to Do in Serbia

Serbia's five regions include Belgrade, Podrinje, Sumadija, Podunavlje and Vojvodina: where you choose holiday accommodation in Serbia will largely depend on what you'd like to do! In southern Serbia, the Kopaonik National Park is a great destination for those interested in winter sports and hiking. Sokobanja, meanwhile, is a beautiful spa destination: whilst there are plenty of opportunities for winter sports, the area's natural thermal waters attract tourists from around the world. Of course, if festivals and historic architecture are more suited to your interests, head for the cities of Palik or Belgrade: the latter has dozens of museums and galleries, as well as the Kalemegdan Fortress, which has been constantly remodelled since it was erected 2,000 years ago.

Places to See in Serbia

You'll find so many exciting sites when you choose holiday rentals in Serbia. Not only is the country known for its vast array of Medieval orthodox monasteries, complete with intricate frescoes, but its cities are awash with an eclectic range of architecture. Novi Sad boasts one of Europe's best preserved 18th century fortresses, the Petrovaradin Fortress, whilst Mokra Gora and Drvengrad are more traditional villages, brimming with history, heritage and custom. There's also an array of world-famous wineries in Serbia, and a number of important archaeological sites: there are Roman palaces and Temples at Gamzigrad, and a large amphitheatre near the town of Stari Kosolac.
