Your listing quality page is a great guide to help you build a high-quality listing with some of the key things that travellers are looking for. The higher the quality of your listing, the more likely travellers are to enquire and book. 


How listing quality works

A high-quality listing includes some of the key things that travellers want to see on your listing, as well as the experience they can expect when booking your property. Your listing quality is based on:

  • Quick response to traveller enquiries and reservation requests
  • Enable online booking and payments
  • Recent reviews
  • Accurate calendar
  • Valid property location
  • Photos of your property
  • Updated rental rates

Simply follow our instructions and you can make your property more appealing to holidaymakers and increase your likelihood of receiving bookings. We recommend that you enable online booking and respond quickly to enquiries to provide the best traveller experience.


Response score

Improve your advert when you...
Consistently respond within 24 hours or quicker to traveller enquiries and reservation requests.

How?
Respond to the traveller as soon as you receive the enquiry email from Owners Direct. Make sure you accept or decline all booking requests within 24 hours.

Why it matters to holidaymakers
one of the most important factors to travellers. We encourage you to reply quicker than 24 hours to secure the booking. If you consistently reply within 24 hours, your faster response time will be featured in your listing scorecard and eventually on your listing, where travellers will be able to see it.

Online booking and payments

Accept online booking and payments online via Online Payments and be sure to use these tools when making reservations with your guests

How?
From your Dashboard, click on the Payments tab in the left navigation.

Why it matters to holidaymakers
Accepting online payments saves time and brings peace of mind to you and your guests.

Guest Reviews

Improve your advert when you...
Try to get at least 12 reviews to begin with, and keep collecting them to make sure you always have recent ones on your listing.

How?
In your dashboard click on the Reviews tab, where you will find the Review Request button. Customise the form according to the details of your previous guests and send.

Why it matters to holidaymakers
Reviews are the best way of showing that your holiday rental is credible and enforce that previous guests have enjoyed their stay, which is reassuring to holidaymakers when making an enquiry with you. Most travellers also agree that a recent review is more important to them in evaluating a potential holiday home than quantity.

Calendar

Keep your availability calendar up-to-date. Record every booking as soon as it is made and update your calendar regularly.

Tip: Sign up for online booking to make sure your calendar is always up-to-date.

How?
From your Dashboard, click on the Calendar tab in the left navigation. Enter the details of a new reservation or update an existing one.

To sign up for online bookings, click on the Settings & Email Templates tab, and then select Set and Edit Your Online Booking Option and Rates.

Why it matters to holidaymakers
Holidaymakers often search by availability. It is frustrating for holidaymakers to enquire on a date listed as available when it is booked.

Valid Location

Make sure your property location is validated and also enable your property to be displayed on our traveller map.

How?
From your dashboard click Edit Property & Prices in the left navigation. Then select the Location tab.

Why it matters to holidaymakers
Holidaymakers want to know where they are staying in relation to the places they are planning to visit.

Photos

Improve your advert when you...
You can display up to 24 high quality photos. Make sure they are attractive and up-to-date.

Tip: We recommend at least 1920x1080 pixels size for each picture.

How?
From your dashboard click Edit Property & Prices in the left navigation. Then select the Photos tab.

Why it matters to holidaymakers
A picture tells a thousand words. Holidaymakers want to know if your property looks right for them, and like to see everything including the kitchen, bathroom, external views, outdoor and surrounding areas.

Rental Rates

Improve your advert when you...
Display rental rates for the year ahead. Include weekly, nightly rates and seasonal options, as well as all taxes and fees.

Tip: Sign up for online bookings to make sure your rental rates are always up-to-date.

How?
From your Dashboard click Edit Property & Prices in the left navigation. Then select the Rates tab.

Why it matters to holidaymakers
Creating rental rates gives you more flexibility in pricing and ensures travellers searching for properties get an accurate price quote. It also means your property appears when they search by rate.
