Overlooking the glorious Marbella coast and close to lively, fashionable Puerto Banus, Marbella and San Pedro De Alcantra.

Discover La Cotorra within El Madronal a haven of peace and tranquillity, experience the breath-taking sea and mountain views, relax undisturbed, yet moments from the best restaurants and fabulous shops that the area has to offer.

Holiday in a beautiful light filled villa within a gated community, a real home, with every home comfort.

Surrounded on all sides by gardens and terraces filled with flowers, this is the place to come to for relaxation and to unwind from busy lives.

The hillside location benefits from cool breezes and clear skies and uninterrupted sea and mountain views from every window make this a beautiful place to stay any time of year.

Bedrooms:

Our delightful villa has five en-suite bedrooms all with showers and some with baths, with one room having two double beds allowing children to share therefore we can sleep up to 12 guests if required, but ideally for 10.

Three bedrooms are in the main house with the master bedroom filling the whole of the top floor with its own private terrace with stunning views.

There are two bedrooms downstairs in the main house, one leading onto the pool and one facing the mountain.

There are two further bedrooms in a secluded single-story annexe across the courtyard. Each annexe bedroom is en-suite and has its own front door.

All bedrooms have air conditioning.

Living Areas:

Fabulous spacious interior with three interconnecting reception rooms.

The dining room is open plan from the kitchen and also leads onto the outside terrace this flows into a light and airy lounge room with plenty of sofas for relaxing and a wood burner for the cooler months.

Leading to our third reception room a lovely TV lounge area, again with sofas and including internet TV, we also have a good selection of books, dvd’s and cd’s to keep all the family entertained.

The well-equipped kitchen opens out to the lovely dining area and within the kitchen you will find two dishwashers, large American style fridge and freezer, coffee machine, microwave, inbuilt ovens and larger than normal ceramic hob and all the crockery and kitchenware you will ever need for any size dinner party or for guests who enjoy cooking for themselves.

An outdoor utility room houses a washing machine for your use during your stay.

Outside:

The well-kept grounds are an asset to our villa and with a stunning infinity pool that is private and ideal for families of all ages to have fun in the sun! There are plenty of sun loungers with cushions and towels for all guests to enjoy the outdoor space.

The covered terrace has an ample outdoor dining table with a large purpose-built barbecue for all those alfresco evenings.

There is a side terrace to enjoy the evening sun all year round with wonderful mountain views, further sun loungers and a further mosaic featured dining area.

The outside is very secure, plus we have our own electric gates to the private driveway and courtyard parking and is sited on a 24-hour gated community.

Exploring the area:

El Madronal is on the A-397 Ronda Road an exclusive private area but close to the bustling town and sandy beaches of San Pedro.

A 15-minute taxi drive will take you to the port restaurant area of Puerto Banus or to Benahavis the restaurant village in the hills, a few minutes more finds you in Marbella where you can explore the old town or the glamorous playground of the rich and famous. In the other direction, you find Estepona leading down many coastal areas until you find Gibraltar all very accessible from the villa.

El Madronal is also a fabulous base for exploring Andalucia. Ronda, home of bullfighting, Granada, the white villages, Cordoba, Seville, Tarifa and even north Africa can all be visited in a day or overnight stay.

Within a five-minute drive you will find a 24-hour shop for all your groceries, bakery, café, bars and restaurants.

Taxis know the villa well and come within 5 minutes from the nearby taxi rank.

Arrival by plane:

45 minutes from both Malaga and Gibraltar airports with numerous low-cost flights from Europe.

Golf:

Many golf courses within 10 minutes: La Quinta Golf Course and Los Arqueros golf are within 5 minutes.

There is a luxury spa at La Quinta, as well as paddle tennis and a golf academy for beginners.

So many visitors have said how much there is to do on this coast and many of our guests return year after year and also consider La Cotorra to be their home.

We were a group of ten for two weeks and we all found the accommodation wonderful. The views, gardens, pool, patio were spectacular. We could not of asked for more. We visited Ronda, Puerto Banus, Marbella, Seville, Granada and Gibraltar. We also lounged on the beach, at wonderful meals out and enjoyed much wine and laughter around the dining room table. This is a truly magical spot. We will highly recommend this to all of our friends who want to explore the south of spain.

  • There are three stunning bedrooms in the main house, with en-suite bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has two double beds, making it ideal for children to share. A total of 8 can sleep in the house. Across the courtyard is a single storey annexe with two lovely light bedrooms, both en suite, both with their own door to the courtyard. This annexe is ideal for four visitors or teenagers wanting some privacy. All the five bathrooms are with modern fittings, heated towel rails with towels included. All the bedrooms have air conditioning, heating, a full range of wardrobe space, mountain and sea views from the windows, quiet, absolutely no traffic noise. The huge master bedroom has a private terrace, and occupies the top floor of the house. All other bedrooms are ground floor with duvets in winter, and lovely white linen sheets in summer.

Family friendly fun!

A perfect location to escape with the family. The Villa is wonderfully equipped to handle families of all ages. From the incredible views stretching to the ocean from the infinity edge pool to the comfortable, homely bedrooms this Villa is equipped to please young and old. Our little ones enjoyed splashing on the shallow edge of the pool as we relaxed on the covered patio. We will be back!!

This is a very comfortable villa, very spacious with lots of different areas to eat and sit. A beautiful swimming pool with stunning views to the sea.

Five large en-suite bedrooms furnished to a high degree. A lovely place to stay.

Spectacular Villa indeed!

The villa is exactly how described! Stunning and peaceful!

Certainly a place to sit back and re charge the batteries, we loved just hanging around the pool and gardens and felt we didn't need to go anywhere!

When we did force ourselves away from this beautiful home we found a supermarket literally less than 5 minutes from the villa and then we found the lovely San Pedro Alacantra with lovely beach front bars which we did stop and try.

We didn't go to Marbella as its not our sort of place even though we hear the old town is nice.

All in all a fantastic holiday in a very very very nice villa! NO complaints at all, we loved it! Thank you

Heaven on earth

I LOVE this villa. There are million dollar views; the bedrooms all have ensuite bathrooms; the kitchen is better equipped than my own and the living rooms are clean, bright, airy and gorgeous. 6 of us are currently sitting around the infinity pool and we do not want to leave on Friday. It's heaven!

A lovely chilled holiday in a lovely villa

We had a lovely relaxing time in this stunning villa, simply perfect!

The villa was ideal for us and our family and you really do feel relaxed and at home.

The views from the garden are so nice we never tired from them and many nights were spent outside with a glass of wine (or two!)

The kids loved the pool and was perfect for them and we could relax knowing they were safe.

Overall we couldn't fault it and would love to come back one day!

Lovely beach at San Pedro which the kids loved and was only about 15 minutes away, we didn't rate Marbella itself as it was too busy for the family.

A little piece of heaven

Such a rare find... a glorious home from home in the peaceful hills yet a short taxi or drive to the coast and night time action.

Our group loved the location and the weather was superb. Non stop blue skies, cool breeze, sea and mountains all around, comfortable beds and walking to local restaurant. Holiday Bliss.
