The entire cabin and its outdoor space is yours!

Please give the guests in our other cabins their space and privacy, but do feel free to explore the property!

When standing in the driveway facing the cabin, the land to the right is private (not owned by us). All the land uphill from the cabin is either our land or National Forest.

Though we don't live on premises, we live nearby and do stop by to say "hi" now and again. We enjoy hosting. If you need anything at all during your stay, don't hesitate to reach out.

Aside from our two other cabins nearby, your only neighbors within 1/4 mile will be the deer and the squirrels. We also have a glamping/safari tent on this property, but it cannot be seen from the cabin.

No public transportation.

Please do not drink the tap water. However, it is fine for all other uses.

This is a get-away-from-it-all vacation. While WiFi is now available at the cabin, phone service is limited to nonexistent in the area.

Bring an all-wheel drive vehicle in the wintertime. The last 1/4 mile of road to the cabin is plowed but not salted.

If the number of steps (see photos) is an issue for you, please see our profile for more cabin options.

Qaint, clean, lovely little cabin!
Amazing property! The cabin is very cozy and homey, utilitarian in the best ways and has everything you would need to feel comfortable. A great getaway for couples who enjoy camping but would like to upgrade from a tent to a warm cabin for special occasions and more luxury. The hosts are gracious ans communicative and we would absolutely book again!

Just what I was looking for!
Clean, efficient, beautiful cabin tucked into the side of a mountain. Could not have asked for a more quiet place to unplug from the rat race. I did not miss electronics at all, sitting on the porch with a good book and the serenity of the area is what my soul needed.

Relaxing on the roof
This cabin was cute and had all the essentials for a few days. A very nice get-a-way. We would have liked a blind on the kitchen window, the curtains didn't close. The blind at the table didn't adjust so you could see in from outside. There is a cabin about 50 feet away with a shared driveway. Other than that, we had a relaxing few days.

Hiking getaway
My husband and I absolutely loved staying at the cabin. It was the perfect getaway. We hiked at Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob and Seneca Creek and the cabin was close to all that we wanted to do. Loved the area and would love to come back again!

PERFECT CABIN GETAWAY
We absolutely loved this cabin!! Was cozy, nestled in the woods far enough away from everything but close enough to get there if we needed something. LOVED the guest book!! We used all the great recommendations to plan places to visit and loved everything! Already booked our next trip in the fall. Looking for a cozy place to get away... this is it!!

Host profile image
I have been a West Virginia resident for 30 + years. I live in the Seneca Rocks area and love sharing the beauty of the area with others.

Why they chose this property

We built this property because most of the nice places to stay in the area are crowded together right along a busy main road. We want to provide a peaceful, secluded place where you can immerse yourself in nature after spending the day exploring the area- a place to recharge your batteries. That is why you come here, right??

What makes this property unique

In the heart of the mountains of West Virginia. Close to many of the best attractions of West Virginia's most scenic area! Only 20 minutes from the highest point in the state where you will find amazing stargazing, breathtaking views, and abundant hiking opportunities!
