The apartment is in a new development, with spectacular and panoramic views over the Solent and River Medina. It overlooks a busy marina with its many yachts. It is very close to the quaint and bustling centre of Cowes, with plenty of individual shops, restaurants, cafes and boutiques. Nearby are many tourist attractions, including Queen Victoria’s Osborne House.

The apartment would be ideal for those wishing to relax whilst enjoying the views over the Solent. It is ideally located for crew or families who want a comfortable environment from which to explore the island and its many attractions.

The second floor apartment (serviced by a lift) offers a spacious living area leading onto a balcony with spectacular views. There is a luxury fully equipped kitchen. The two bedrooms are light and airy, and have views of the River Medina. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room. There is also a separate bathroom. There is a dedicated parking space and internet/Wi-Fi access is provided.

Additional Information on Cowes: There is a full programme of events which cater for the professional and amateur sailor, as well as the keen spectator, particularly throughout the summer months. Attractions include the many regattas, the start of the famous Round the Island race, Cowes Week, Dinghy Week, the Fastnet Race, Little Britain, various power boat competitions, not to mention the carnivals, balls and outside arenas which cater to these thrilling sporting challenges.

Cowes and East Cowes grew from a huddle of fishermen's shacks around two coastal forts built by Henry VIII on opposite banks of the River Medina and named after the two off-shore sandbanks or cows. The towns are linked by an old-fashioned chain ferry and have a tradition of fine ship building, dating from the reign of Elizabeth I. Then came the yacht building industry and the rest is history! Many people choose to have a base in the centre of Cowes and it is now possible to do so in the best possible situation and style.

Waitrose in Cowes: Waitrose has decided to invest in Cowes - they have recently opened their supermarket very close to our apartment, just on the other side of the chain link ferry, and close to the Red Funnel berth in East Cowes.

How to get to Cowes: Red Funnel fast passenger ferry from Southampton to Cowes every 30 minutes.

Red Funnel vehicle ferry from Southampton to East Cowes, opposite the apartment.

Wight link from Portsmouth to Fishbourne and from Lymington to Yarmouth.

Fast train service from London to Southampton, (approx. 1 hour 15 minutes) with connection to the Red Funnel ferries.

Both bedrooms are fully carpeted with wardrobes and draw units. Stylish bedside tables are provided with lights and alarm/radios. The bedrooms have lovely views east over the River Medina to the Chain Ferry which leads to East Cowes and Osbourne House.

There is a large entrance hall. The hall and the living/dining area are fully fitted with real oak wood flooring. The kitchen area and bath/shower rooms are fully tiled. The bedrooms are carpeted. The stereo radio/CD player will house virtually any 'Ipod' and play its music. The balcony has a table with 4 chairs, to further your enjoyment of the superb views. The central heating system is subtle but effective - it uses the skirting boards as radiators! Access to the waterfront is through a coded security gate. By the front door of the apartment is a video phone, which controls the front door to that part of the apartment block.

A very enjoyable week in Cowes

After a four hour journey from Suffolk in pouring rain we eventually arrived at the apartment via Red Funnel ferry. The agent was waiting for us and took us up to the apartment. As she showed us into the apartment we were very impressed with the luxurious look of everything. Then the view from the balcony - visions of a glass of cold white wine while watching all the harbour activity. We immediately knew we were going to enjoy our stay!! The kitchen was wonderful with absolutely everything you could ever need. The bedrooms were both good with comfy beds and good. cupboard space. The living area with a nice dining area and three sofas to relax on was very comfortable and had lovely pictures on the wall, The apartment also had lots of books, videos and games available.The two bathrooms give a choice of shower or bath.

It was a short walk into the town centre where there was shops, pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes and we enjoyed some lovely meals during our stay. . We explored the Island during the week and enjoyed it all in spite of very wet and windy weather - but it was November after all. All shipping to and from Southampton could be seen from the apartment so there was always something to watch.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable week in the apartment - it exceeded our expectations and we would recommend it to our family and friends if they were planning to visit The Isle Of Wight.

Fabulous Apartment in great Location

The apartment is spacious and very well equipped with everything you need for great holiday. It is in a great location close to Cowes town and also the chain ferry to East Cowes. We never tired of the views across the marina to the Solent and enjoyed watching the coming and going of the ferries, cruise ships and commercial ships. Highly recommend.

Stunning, A real home from home

We have stayed in other apartments in this development before and I can honestly say that this is the best, so far.

From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable. It was clean and tidy with everything we needed (Dishwasher, TV, Hi fi, WiFi, full compliment of crockery and cooking utensils, to name but a few) My 11 year old daughter was extremely pleased with her huge bed. The views from the balcony are great with many comings and goings of cruise ships to watch.

The easy access to Waitrose was an advantage, with just a short walk and a trip on the floating bridge to get there, literally 5-10 mins.

All in all we had a great holiday here and my daughter is already asking if we can go back next year!

Absolutely wonderful

The apartment is everything you could be looking for down to things like dishwasher tablets provided and a juicer all mod cons everything you could think of. The views are magnificent and a very good location to explore the whole island, But if you do not drive then this apartment is so close to the Cowes ferry you would not need to drive to get there. We had a wonderful time and when we visit again it will be in this apartment.

5 star apartment

We stayed for 6 nights and found it to be 5 star yet extremely homely. Immaculate and comfortable with wonderful views of the solent. A couple of minutes walk into Cowes centre and ten minutes to the beach of West Cowes. The beaches of East Cowes are well worth a visit, accessible by the chain ferry and a ten minute walk. It is a terrific area for enjoying walks.

There are many bars and restaurants locally but our first choice was the apartment balcony!!

Beautiful Apartment

We stayed five days at this apartment. It was exactly as described. The beds are extremely comfy and we slept so well. Very clean and well maintained. You can watch the boats come and go from the lounge or on the balcony. Kitchen has everything you need and the apartment is open and gives lots of space. If you do not like limescale we would suggest taking a water filter jug but that is just us as we have one at home so really notice it when we don't have one. Location is good as there are lots of lovely restaurants and cafes to eat at. supermarkets close by. Lots of shops as well which are mainly targeted at sailoring as you would expect. Owners give you a great booklet which has all the best places to eat at and where everything is. They were also very efficient with the booking process and refunding our deposit. You can walk all the way to Gurnard which is very enjoyable so you don't really need a car for a short stay. I would definately recommend this property to other people and hope to return to it again in the future.

Prices are for up to 4 persons. Additional persons charged at £40 per person/week. Bed linen, towels and tea towel provided. Cleaning is included.

For Autumn/Winter/Spring rental, rate is £925 per month, excluding utilities.

Please note that we are not able to accept children under 6 years old.
