Location, Location & Location !!!
If you are looking for a place in the middle of all the action, restaurants, shops, close to the beach, you can not go wrong with this location.
As soon as you leave the building there are at least 100s if not thousands of restaurants in your sight. Virtually in Garibaldi square, which has a tram stop and lots of more restaurants. Beach is a walking distance, perfect for summer rental.
The apartment is good for a small family, equipped with almost everything you might need. Kitchen with utensils, dishwasher, Fridge, breakfast bar, dinning area. Bathroom with laundry facility. Bedroom is a very good size with comfortable bed. There is no AC and I thought I am in trouble since I was there for 3 weeks but the fan does the job very well, the place stays cool pretty much.
The only thing i would suggest the property owner to fix/replace is the sofa. As someone already pointed out the Pull out is broken and it wont go back in easily. Plus, it is very dirty in need of dry cleaning or replacement.
In the welcome package it says to press the button for 2nd floor in the elevator although you would need to press 3 and climb a few stems once you get to the floor.
One more important thing, if taking a cab from airport or somewhere ask the driver to bring you to restaurant Civette Garibaldi @
1 Bis Boulevard Jean Jaurès, 06300 Nice, France which the the closest the cab will stop as the cars can not go in rue Paroliere.
I really enjoyed my stay in the property and would actually rent it again if I get a chance to come back.
Nice apartment right in the centre of the old town.
Enough room for two. Clean and comfortable.
Very close to Acropolis congress centre.
Also close to the beach and shopping areas.
Of course there is some noise from outside in the evenings and you have to climb 54 stairs, but that was no problem for us.
Excellent location. Step just outside the door and you are immersed into the buzz of the Old Town. Information pack collected from was precise and informative. The welcome pack was indeed very welcome. Initial impressions were overall good. Over time there were some problems with the sofa bed. The seating was stained. The pull out section kept coming off the rails, it was not comfortable to sleep on and the neighbour below came up and made different complaints about noise created when I was trying to assemble the bed. (Soundproofing between floors must be negligible). However the soundproofing, from outside, is excellent no sound from the street when the windows are closed. The kitchen facilities were great, it had all you need if you wish to make meals at home. The bedding was superb sheets so comfortable and such high quality. I'd recommend the flat for a couple where the sofa is used only for seating.
Best restaurant for French food at lunchtime Le Cactus in Eze, in evening Chez Acchiardo in Rue Droite and good Indinan at Noori's Place Grimaldi
We spent a wonderful 9 nights at 13 rue Pairoliere in Nice.
The instructions provided by ‘Go Nice’ made finding the apartment hassle free. We were provided with everything from the bus details from the airport to precise directions to the apartment complete with pictures so that we would recognise the very doorway. The airport key collection system was also very efficient!
The apartment itself was extremely spacious with all of the modern amenities you could possibly require - Wi-Fi, dish washer, washing machine, microwave, TV & DVD player. This made our trip all the more enjoyable.
The two large fans were a godsend given the humidity this August and the double glazed windows made for a peaceful nights sleep – these were another draw to this particular apartment as we have stayed in Nice many years previously and it can be very noisy well into the early hours of the morning in the old town.
The properly lift was another added bonus – there were some stairs to negotiate, but these were minimal and nothing compared to previous years in other apartments within the old town.
The apartment location could not be better. There are an array of eateries on your very doorstep with a Monoprix and Casino only a stones throw away for supplies. The tourist information office is also situated close by on Promenade des Anglais - where you can obtain fantastic advice and information to assist you in trip planning (e.g. which stops to get the busses from and the number).
I’d also like to take the time to praise the owner of Go Nice apartments. We had difficulty configuring the washing machine initially and our hair dyer had a broken handle which made using it a challenge. Paul was round the same day with a replacement hair dryer and explained how to initialise the washer. Nothing was too much bother. I can safely say that we will 100% be re-booking with ‘Go Nice Apartments’ in the future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the company to both family and friends.
