About this property

Casa Ginetou, located in the historic center of Menton, was built in the 1930s. This 2-bedroom 2-bathroom apartment covers 75 square meters on the 2nd floor and also includes a large 30-meter terrace. The apartment is spacious and airy, with high ceilings and good air flow.

The master bedroom is en suite with shower, while the second bathroom has a tub. The second bedroom has a large double bed and a convertible couch. The apartment can therefore sleep 5 adults or 4 adults and 2 children comfortably. The bedrooms are located at opposite ends of the apartment so there is plenty of privacy. Linens are provided.

The kitchen is well-equipped and includes a dishwasher, oven, microwave oven, coffee maker, kettle, blender, toaster, dishes, glasses, utensils, etc. There are dishes and a high chair for infants.

The terrace is decorated with plants (olive and lemon trees, oleander, and bougainvillea) and a lattice screen for privacy. Tables and chairs are available for outdoor meals or relaxing. An automatic awning can be extended for more shade during the day. In the utility room off the terrace there are laundry facilities if needed.

The apartment is very well situated; it is close to the train station, bus station, farmers market, beach, tourism office, shopping street, supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, gardens, casino, and parks. It is also possible to access hiking trails on foot or by bus. Bicycle rental is also easy.

The building does not have its own parking, but free street parking is available on Rue Massena where the apartment is located. It is easy to walk from the train station to the apartment entrance in only 2-3 minutes.

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed four nights in this spacious apartment with lovely terrace located close to the bus and train stations. The apartment was clean, well equipped and communication with Amanda and Kunnika was friendly and efficient. Everything was perfect and we hope to return. Thank you

Great apartment for a short break in Menton

Very comfortable and well appointed apartment in Menton. Very conveniently located near Menton station, but also within easy walking distance of local shops, beaches, the old town and the port, and the Jean Cocteau Museum. The apartment has a great terrace which would be lovely in more summery weather, although during our short stay in February we could only make minimal use of it. The apartment is on the second floor - using British terminology ie up two flights of stairs - in a beautiful historic building without a lift. Fine for us, but something to take into account by anyone with restricted mobility or with heavy suitcases.

SUPERB

Well equipped, centrally located, clean, lots of room, superb large private terrace no need for a car. We had two weeks of beautiful sunny weather with meals on the terrace and plenty of restaurants within a short walking distance. The hand over agent was very accommodating for our delayed arrival and departure.

Hello! Bonjour! My name is Amanda and currently I am based in Rome working on international development. My friend Kunnika, a French Cambodian, lives in Menton and she helps me to manage short term rentals. We are old friends, having met in Cambodia in 1998 when we were both working there.

Why they chose this property

I love Menton and this area so I bought this apartment as a future home. I come to visit from Rome whenever I have a chance. I enjoy the outdoors and the mix of Italian and French language and culture near the border.

What makes this property unique

For me, the best things are having a drink on the terrace at sunset, buying fresh croissants on the corner, and a walk or swim at the beach anytime. The colorful vintage floor tiles from the 1930s charmed me too.
