First, Anna Maria Island is broken up into 3 cities, Anna Maria, Holmes Beach and Bradenton Beach. The City of Anna Maria is the most northern part of the Island and the most popular. When searching for Beach front rentals, be careful. A standard search of VRBO will Show 300 plus listings. Only a fraction of these are actually in the city of Anna Maria, and even less are actually ON the Beach. Many will be, steps to beach, blocks to beach, or beach view, or beach area and on and on. Make sure you actually select beach when doing your search. Then make sure you zoom in on the map to see which ones are "ACTUALLY' ON THE BEACH. There aren't many, but MINE IS!!!!! I can't tell you how many people say they were mislead by this type of description and ended up blocks from the beach.
Anna Maria and it's "Old Florida Charm" will sweep you away. With breathtaking sugar white sand, emerald water and some of the most incredible sunsets and sunrises in the world, its no wonder you are looking us over. If you're looking for a new 3 or 4 story brand new concrete home with all the latest and greatest, this is NOT your place. This is an "Old Florida" beach home. That's the reason people come to Anna Maria, we are mostly "old Florida". Please review pictures closely to see what you get. If you're going to sit inside all day and look at the walls and marvel at the granite counter tops and how modern the place is, your wasting your vacation. What's more important, looking at the new modern place your staying at, or spending your time on the beach fishing or watching Dolphin's and Manatee's and incredible Sea Birds and our beautiful Island? Direct beach front with the water is less than 50 foot to your bedroom!
Our family has lived on this Island for 40 years and visited way before that.
From the first cup of coffee watching the sunrise in the morning to the margarita as the sun goes down, you won't be disappointed. Please note, this is an elevated home as required for all new homes built after the mid 1970's by Anna Maria City regulations. There are stairs from the ground level to the living second floor and ALL guest must be physically capable of climbing stairs.

Incredible views!

The house has the most amazing view, right on the water. The upstairs decking area is perfect to watch the days go by, accompanied by a glass of wine! It has all the kitchen utensils that you need. Showers work fine. Lots of towels. Kayaks etc if you are more adventurous. The water is so warm. Key collection was simple. Joe, the owner was available if need be, but everything was fine. A great relaxing time!

Amazing holiday

We had a fantastic time on the island and the home we stayed out was exactly as joe describes it. I honestly don’t believe there would be a house on the island with a better location. You are literally on the beach (with your front garden been sectioned off as your own private beach !! ) and about a 3 minute walk to the rod and reel pier. The sea is crystal clear and there couldn’t be a more relaxing place in the world than lying in the hammock watching the dolphins and sea birds with the sun rise at 7am -it’s truley magical. The house has everything you would want and need in a holiday beach house and it even has 2 bbq which were to be top quality. If you are looking for a brand new modern luxurious house then this is not for you however if you are looking for a idillic beach house with every thing you need and probably the most relaxing holiday with stunning views then this is probably it. Also joes instructions and messages and emails were a great personal touch which just added to the overall experience. We dinned out every night ( apart from 1 bbq ) as there were pleanty of great food places on the island, To end this was probably the best holiday we will ever go on.

Dolphins and Manatees

Lovely house, fantastic views, well equipped kitchen. The house was really well prepared for our arrival, everything clean and tidy even the BBQ had everything laid out inside ready for use!! You can’t get closer to the sea that this. We had a wonderful holiday and can’t wait to return. Thanks Joe.
