About this property

Mountain STREAM in BIG CANOE greenbelt trails GAMEROOM sauna pool table LUXURY

The Shack is currently finishing renovations of adding an open concept kitchen oversized entertaining island with industrial 48" gas range. We've also added a newly renovated master bathroom with large walk in shower and boasts a jetted soaker tub. Not to mention we have renovated the basement and gameroom area. Pictures will be posted as we complete these projects. We will be finished renovations early June so we are accepting bookings.

The Shack is a luxuriously appointed rustic/modern home located inside of the multi-awarded Big Canoe wildlife sanctuary, mountain/golf/tennis/water activities community. It is nestled in a cozy valley next to a beautiful, babbling mountain stream on a green belt of protected forest with hiking trails. This is not the typical home rental. The Shack offers professional decorating, high-end appointments such as high thread count linens, All-Clad cookware, plush Hotel Collection towels, super comfortable Stearns and Foster mattresses, original artwork, custom furnishings, smooth concrete countertops in kitchen and teak vanity tops in baths among others.

The Shack boasts open concept living on the main level with windows galore, original artwork and ample reading supply. The main step-down den offers a new Roku flat screen tv with sound system. Enjoy the stacked stone oversized wood burning fireplace with hearth seating using the supplied firewood for those colder nights. Also on the main level is the Master suite with fully renovated bath including shower, tub and double sink teak vanity. The master bedroom offers a king sized super plush Stearns and Foster mattress with flat screen tv, seating area and deck access.

The queen guest bedroom, also on main level, offers another plush Stearns and Foster mattress, Indonesian carved headboard, black out curtains and full bath with tub shower combo.

Open to the newly added oversized kitchen island is the dining room with large dining table, in a sunroom of 270° windows with mountain and stream views. Step onto the deck and enjoy a big green egg and Weber charcoal grill all overlooking the peaceful babbling stream and greenbelt. Also enjoy our newly added propane fire pit cove between the house and carport with 6 Adirondack chairs perfect for those evening smores and story telling.

The upper level offers another king bedroom and the loft area with a queen bed and 2 twins twin. Both access the full upper bath with travertine shower.

The 850 sq/ft terrace/basement level offers cozy seating/gaming area with game table and roku tv with Wii console. Also there is a pool/ping pong table, foosball table and a 60+ game vintage standing Multicade that includes Ms.Pacman, Centipede, Frogger, Galaga and 45 others. Just out the terrace door awaits the screened-in porch that offers a 2 person far-infrared sauna and 4 rocking chairs with views and sounds of the babbling stream. Step outside the screened porch and enjoy a hammock and bench swing next to the soothing stream. Feel free to use the nets and buckets for catching crawdads and salamanders in the stream. Also try your hand at panning for gold using our gold pans also on the screened porch.

Enjoy utilizing our stainless appliance kitchen with 48 inch industrial gas range and double ovens. Also oversized island and bar seating and the peaceful deck areas. Cozy home
We loved our stay at the shack. Hiking behind the house and huge game room in the basement were the two highlights. We stayed for a week over thanksgiving break. Kitchen had plenty of pans, pots and dishes. Can’t wait to plan our next visit to the beautifully decorated cozy shack!

Great girls weekend home!
This home is beautifully laid out for chats by the fire or short Hikes in the woods. Perfect for girls weekend or romantic getaway. Plenty of things to do for small kids as well if you want a family weekend. The owner communicates back right away and we are glad we made our second trip back. Hoping for a third soon!
