Water's Edge is an exclusive private villa with 130 feet of oceanfront and all the modern amenities to make it your home away from home. This 2800 sq foot villa on the serene eastern end of Nassau is the perfect escape for your family. Enjoy lounging in a hammock on the huge back patio with panoramic views of Rose Island and cool down in our private freshwater pool with a soothing fountain.

Step directly into the crystal clear ocean through the back gate for a swim, or row our kayaks out a few hundred feet to snorkel the many surrounding reefs. It feels like your own private ocean! If the ocean is not for you, you can relax in our freshwater pool offering spectacular views of the ocean. Spend your evenings sipping Bahama Mamas seated at the outdoor wet bar, and grill the fish you caught on our stone charcoal grill. We even have our own Margaritaville Navigator drinks maker.

ALL MOD CONS

Brew a cup of coffee in the modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Count the sailboats on the ocean from the expansive shower in the new master bathroom. The house includes 4 bedrooms, all with queen beds, and can sleep up to 8 people. All the beds have been recently renewed with new mattresses and memory foam pads. Plenty of towels (beach and regular) are available. If you choose to eat dinner inside you can dine under the chandelier in our dining room (perhaps making use of our private chef) and enjoy the view of the tropical front patio (also the perfect place for your morning coffee) with local flora and fauna. You can also relax in the sunroom overlooking the ocean which includes a cozy reading area and casual dining section.

From the cathedral-ceilinged central living space, you can open the French doors leading to the ocean patio and enjoy the cool eastern breezes.

What makes Water's Edge the ultimate rental? We provide Cable TV, a rugged Bluetooth speaker, and superfast, reliable, WIFI throughout the house for those guests who may need to stay connected while in paradise. A dinghy and snorkeling equipment are provided for your enjoyment. We also provide a local phone for reservations and inquiries. Enjoy the privacy of the non-tourist area with easy access to explore the best of what Nassau has to offer.

For extra luxury, you can choose optional daily housekeeping, catering and private chef services, taxi services, boating rental, and in-home massage and nail (mani/pedi) services. Additional costs apply.

Since the virus, we have instituted a more rigorous cleaning and disinfecting regime to remove contaminants from a surface and kill pathogens; especially on high-touch surfaces.

OTHER SERVICES

I can recommend Joe, our taxi driver, for all group transport requirements. It is a short 10-12 minute drive to the Atlantis Resort, but we believe that once you set foot in Water's Edge you won't feel the need to go anywhere else.

Great Place for a Group

We had a big group of 8 stay at Watersedge for four nights, and it was the perfect size for us. Mark was very helpful through the check in process and provided great recommendations to other services, including a taxi and private boat tour. These reccommendations were fantastic. Overall, the house was good value for the price.

Fabulous oceanside villa in a perfect location.

We visited from The Cotswolds, England, to celebrate a 60th birthday and to meet up with our local family, so wanted somewhere that provided more than the average rental property - somewhere that had clearly been lovingly cared for and provided everything we'd need to make the most of our holiday. We were delighted with Water's Edge and all of it's facilities, and had a wonderful 10 days making brilliant memories. Exceeded our expectations and would be really hard to find somewhere else as high spec as this, with all the bedrooms, living and outside space and thoughtful touches in such a perfect location! Thank you for having us - would highly recommend!

Three nights at this lovely property

This was a lovely property we shared as a group of friends and relatives. Marsha the property manager met us and during our stay couldn’t have done more to help us., she was truly a diamond . Mark the owner was very responsive and recommended a taxi driver Joe to us who was brilliant and always turned up punctually and was a great help to us. I have no hesitation in recommending this property and I know I can speak for all 8 of us.

An excellent villa in a wonderful oceanfront location

I highly recommend this villa. It is in a beautiful location, with the most amazing turquoise sea and great views. We were outside every day enjoying the views and keeping cool in the pool. Everything is very good quality and super clean. The villa has everything you need for a great stay, including a good dinghy and scuba gear. The kitchen has a good range of crockery and utensils and plenty of cooking pans. The air con was welcoming on the very hot nights and Mark, the owner, was great when one of the AC units stopped working, there was a replacement fitted within a day. It's great to have an owner that really cares about their guests and looks after them so well. The island is beautiful and we would recommend Love Beach on the north shore which is a large sandy beach, great for swimming and snorkelling and has a great little beach bar for drinks and snacks. This really is a little taste of paradise and we wish we were still there..!

Stunning traditional Bahamian villa by the ocean

The property is located at the east end of New Providence in a very peaceful and upmarket neighbourhood. But is only a ten or fifteen minute drive from the attractions in downtown Nassau. It is a beautiful traditional Bahamian villa with many of the original features, but modernised sympathetically. The jewel in the crown is the sun terrace incorporating the pool, with a beautiful view over the ocean. The sunrises and sunsets are stunning. The photos on the website give a very accurate picture of the villa and the terrace. A perfect location for a relaxing family holiday.

Why they chose this property

After working in the Bahamas on a contract we fell in love with Nassau. We chose Water's Edge after an extensive search as we were looking for a traditional Bahamian home with modern amenities directly on the ocean with a private freshwater pool.

Nassau teems with Bahamian and British flavors. The capital of The Bahamas boasts miles of spectacular beaches and stretches of vivid coral reefs perfect for snorkeling. Dance to calypso music, savor fried crab, or play dominos with locals in the diverse city. Don't leave without also learning about the country's interesting past. Shop, dine, and sightsee, particularly along busy Bay Street, or if you're a James Bond fan, visit the many movie sites. The town retains many of its characteristic pastel-colored British colonial buildings, including the pink-hued Government House. Visit during the famed Junkanoo Festival (Christmas and New Year, also once in the Summer) to experience a high-energy parade of spectacularly costumed dancers.

What makes this property unique

We knew as soon we walked out of the back patio doors and experienced that amazing view that Water's Edge was a unique and wonderful place. The private pool is a fabulous thing to be used throughout the year. We fell in love with the sunrises (something to behold), the Abaco pine beams in the cathedral-ceilinged, living room, the hummingbirds that visit and the ocean breeze that cools the home throughout the year.

We can also offer catering (meals and chef services) and massage services. Plus, Monique, our taxi person, can provide all group transport.

Since the virus, we have instituted a more rigorous cleaning and disinfecting regime to remove contaminants from a surface and to kill pathogens; especially high-touch surfaces.
