Great location and very comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here in early October as a family of 4. Great location, so close to good restaurants, the Tube and buses. Really good if you are coming in/out of London via Kings Cross/St Pancras train station, as we did. Flat was very spacious and had everything we needed. The heated clothes drying rack was particularly useful for a family that had been on the road for a few weeks and needed to do some washing, which we did! The kids also really enjoyed a swim in the heated indoor pool after a busy day of sightseeing. Thanks for a great stay in London.

Great location. Clean. Reasonably priced.

  • 4 of 5

We loved the location of this well appointed apartment. The apartment was very clean and close to public transportation. However, we found the loft bed dangerous and would not recommend its use. Also, be prepared for a tough time drying/styling your hair as there was no appropriate area for this activity in the apt (UK bathrooms do not have electric outlets).

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review and I'm glad you found the location convenient. I am slightly puzzled that you find hair drying a problem; there is a plug by the bathroom door next to the enormous full length mirror cupboards. If you only wanted to use the bathroom mirror the lead of the hair drier is long enough to allow that as well. You said you found the loft bed dangerous but did not specify in what way. There is a substantial rail to stop to anybody falling out. The step ladder access is very stable. Many people have told us that they find the upper bed very comfortable; children generally love the experience of climbing up to go to bed!

Convenient and Spacious

  • 4 of 5

We were visiting London for the first time, so we have no point of comparison to other areas or sorts of rentals in London, but we found this flat to be conveniently located and pleasant to stay in. My husband and son particularly enjoyed the pool in the evenings, and I appreciated that the space was tidy and didn't feel crowded.

It was not particularly quiet (you can stare into the top floor of buses as they pass the 'balcony' doors, which we opened for ventilation), but it was not noisy enough to bother even me. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom has a lovely amount of space for organizing your stuff.

My only complaint and reason for detracting a star is the lack of a clothes dryer. The drying rack provided makes drying clothes slightly less impossible, but when we were also using it to dry the gigantic towels (three certainly don't fit on the rack in the bathroom), the apartment looked like some sort of disorganized laundromat for the majority of our stay, as we were hanging things everywhere (fortunately, there were a lot of clothes hangers in the closet).

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review and I'm glad you had a good time in London. I'm sorry you found the electric clothes airer inconvenient. I always find it dries things very quickly; I usually use it overnight and then fold it up and put it away.

Todo estuvo más que perfecto!!!

  • 5 of 5

Comfortable, great hospitality and location-- plus pool for burned out kids

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely three-night stay here and Sue, the owner, was a big part of it. I had ordered football tickets that took forever to get there and I pretty much stalked her to see when they would arrive. She was wonderful about letting me know the minute they were there. We were also allowed an early check-in and late check-out which for weary US travelers is a huge bonus.

The building has a concierge who was helpful, and a small indoor pool which was used probably more by my kids than anyone else in the building. After a day of sightseeing, that kind of break is invaluable! It was also nice to eat at home a couple of times with a nice kitchen. The flat is well sound-proofed--construction going on right outside our window did not even bother us. We used both Chancery Lane and Farringdon tube stops--very convenient--and the 55 bus is literally right outside the door. Wonderful local restaurants--really recommend the Gunmakers tucked into a side street--friendly and with surprisingly great Asian-themed dishes.

Thanks very much, Sue, this was a wonderful start to our week's holiday in England!

The perfect place for our family

  • 5 of 5

This was an absolutely perfect place for my family of four to stay during our visit to London. It was well located to catch the tube to anywhere, within walking distance of so many sites, and we had the pool, sauna, ping pong table and exercise space to ourselves each evening. There is a great little Italian deli just up the street, a pub and places for coffee and pastries. Tomasz was very accommodating during our stay as well. We would certainly stay here again!
