This partner has demonstrated and is committed to fast response times, the best rates, and a great guest experience.
This Holiday House belongs to my parents from 1990 .My father restored it few years ago, when I had a degree in literature and Languages in Pisa. It was my dream have contacts with foreign people and practice languages everyday
Mimicha purchased this villa in 1990
I ‘m so interested to other cultures and I like dealing with people from all over the world. My other passion is cooking, that’s why I organize Tuscan meals and cooking class for my guests. It is a nice experience to taste home-made flavors and preparations. I live quite next the house, this area means a lot for me, here are my origins. I was born here and grew here, I travelled a lot but this is my place, I know its products and the uses of my earth and with my job I’d like to express what really this earth is : its hills, perfumes, green, special food and traditions.
This property is the place to know “my” region. Here is a strategic point to have a global view of Tuscany : Arts( Lucca, Florence, Pisa, Siena and all other cities) Beach(Versilia beachside with all his comforts) Mountains ( Abetone )Foods and wine tasting (Garfagnana, Chianti) or just relax and activities( the property has private swimming pool and tennis and golf course) . These are just some example of what our place offers. That means : one hour to reach whatever you are looking for in Tuscany. Enjoy your stay!
The villa was set in a very quiet location, far enough away from the main road through the village. All that could be heard was the sound of birds and at times a few noisy dogs! After turning into a small lane and negotiating a winding driveway we found the house in a lovely setting. Two bedrooms were en-suite and the third (which was reached by stairs going up from the kitchen) had a separate bathroom leading off the kitchen. The shower in this room would suit a very short person as it had a slanted ceiling! There were a few kitchen/dining/lounge items which we felt could have been provided to improve anyone's stay at the villa, so we spoke to the owner at the end of our 2wks and she was very grateful for our ideas. We were not aware however that our bedding and towels would not be changed after our first week and that if we wanted it doing we would have to pay extra, also extra for a cleaner to come in! We have rented villas quite a few times but never had to do this for ourselves! The pool is good and although not huge, suited us. Provision for outdoor dining was good. Surprisingly, San Martino has a very good supermarket which we made use of and also a few little shops which we could walk to, including a lovely Gelateria. This area of Tuscany gave us the opportunity to visit the surrounding countryside and towns including Lucca, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa. We found our hostess and her parents very amenable and we enjoyed our stay.
A year has passed and yes we did keep our promise to return to Tuscany, from 27 June to 04 July. Not alone this time, but with the rest of the family...our 2 daughters and my mother in law.
Casa Musa was our first and ONLY choice.
Mimi was awaiting our arrival and once again welcomed us "Home".
When we returned to the Germany last year, my husband and I could not stop talking about the Beautiful house we stayed at. We promised to return someday with the children to share Tuscany with them.
We spent one beautiful week at Casa Musa and once again enjoyed the hospitality. We also once again experienced the beauty of Tuscany and our city visits included Firenze, Lucca, Pisa to name a few. We also visited the Cinque Terre..... simply wonderful!!!!
Caves in the Garafagnana , and a long drive through the Chianti area, spectacular vineyards and olive orchards!!! We indulged ourselves with delightful Italian cuisine and wine. Pity it all had to come to an end… like all good things do!!!
Our children and my mother in law, together with us truly enjoyed this one week. We are looking forward to our next visit.
We thank you for a wonderful time, Casa Musa holds a very special place in our hearts!!!
When we arrived, we were amazed by how wonderful everything looked! The pictures don't do the apartment justice, it looks much better in real life.
Everything was spotlessly clean, and we found a bottle of wine and biscuits as a welcome in the kitchen.
The house is beautifully furnished. It feels like you are stepping back in time and yet has every modern convenience you could require.
The pool was large and the garden area around with sun loungers, all aluminum and very comfortable. the pool it was immaculate and the girls loved swimming in the water.
Our week at Villa Musa finished far to quickly and we spent the evening relaxing on the portico. Villa Musa managed to cocoon me at relax me completely.
The whole family loved Villa Musa and came back home feeling refreshed and relaxed.
Excellent work Villa Musa!
We just booked again and will be back next summer !!!

Three couples from university days and now forty years older shared memories and made new ones during a wonderful week in Tuscany. The pool was perfect for the hot summer days, the house was a relaxing retreat after visits to Carrara and Lucca and it was all made much easier by our host Mimicha. Congratulations to Mimicha on the pre-arrival information, support during the week and the Tuscan home-cooked meal on Wednesday evening. A place to reccomend!

Further info:
We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday at Casa Musa.
It is situated on a hillside with an uninterrupted
view into the valley and the village of San Martino.
Despite having the owners living "round the back" you
would never have known it; it is very private and
quiet. We did not see the owners except when they
brought a gift of home grown fruit for us. However,
we knew they were there to help out in any way if we
had a problem.
The villa itself is clean and well appointed. Newly
refurbished, it has very good en-suite facilities,
and the kitchen provides all basic needs, with a
microwave, oven, gas hob and a good-sized
fridge/freezer (plus washing machine in the utility
room). One of the air conditioners was a bit
temperamental when we were there but the rooms were
cool and comfortable with shuttered windows.
The pool was clean and there were plenty of sun
loungers around it. The table tennis table and
equipment were a bonus.
The villa is situated in an area where there are
plenty of sights to see such as Pisa, Lucca,
Viareggio on the coast, and lovely valley rides into
the mountains.
Although we made these excursions in our hired car,
the best part of the week was definitely the time we
spent chilling out at the villa.
Lucca with its monuments, squares, fountains, museums; with its tranquil medieval town centre in great part pedestrian, with its theatre, the Teatro del Giglio, and it's esteemed seasons of opera, prose, orchestral music and dance; with its important cultural events such as the Comics Revue and the Summer Festival, the traditional ones such as the procession of Santa Croce during the city's September festivities, or the Flower Market in April. Lucca is a city which offers the tourists attractions of historic interest and natural beauty with the sure knowledge that you can walk through the city and surrounding areas at any time in complete safety.
2000 years of history will catch your eyes walking around Lucca’s squares and streets. It is home to splendid Romanesque churches, museums, monuments, and birth place of Giacomo Puccini (1858) one of Italy most famous composer.
