About this property

Vacation in style at a professionally decorated and fully updated lakefront location. Our year-round home is over 1,200 square feet in size. You will have plenty of room to spread out in comfort during your visit. We hope you take the time to read our reviews. Guests consistently mention the size and comfort of our home as well as praise our location and accommodating lakefront.
Make lasting memories as you and your family relax, fish, swim, and play at Michigan's largest inland lake. This section of the lake has a firm sandy bottom that stays shallow for quite a way. The West Shore of Houghton Lake is commonly referred to as the "Calm Side". Our home doesn’t have a sea-wall. You can easily walk from our lawn into the water without the hassle of constantly climbing up and over a concrete, steel, or stone barrier. This is a fantastic location for families with small children.
Inside our home you will appreciate how the primary bedroom (with a king mattress) and full bath are separated from the main living area for privacy and relaxation. The lakefront bedroom (queen mattress) with great water views, is an oasis of its own. Our 3rd bedroom with 2 bunk beds (containing 4 twin mattresses) allow this roomy home to easily sleep 6.
The kitchen is modern and welcoming with updated stainless-steel appliances and granite counter tops. The updated décor throughout our home transitions seamlessly from room to room and adds the perfect finishing touch.
The entire living area is open, warm, and inviting offering fantastic views of the lake.
A Smart TV with LG Sound bar is provided for your enjoyment. The Primary bedroom contains another Smart TV.
If you’re a mature, relaxed, and refined group,,,,,,,we hope you visit and have a feeling you'll never want to leave.
Finally, we want to take a moment to summarize our rules so this is a fantastic experience for everyone: No Pets, No Smoking, and No Parties/Conduct that may be deemed offensive. We also require the primary renter to be over the age of 35. Additionally, our garage will be locked as it contains our personal items.
We'll close by stressing this is a family friendly home in a quiet family friendly neighborhood. Please be a good neighbor at all times during your stay.

Lake in Sept

Very nice, but no soap or coffee to even get us started. Hall bathroom door is very noisy due to its sticking when opening and closing. Woke other people up!

The place was nicely renovated. The beach and water level was great for kids. Enjoyed our stay. The owners were easy to get ahold of. Had no issues at all. Neighbors were friendly.

Beautiful home on the lake

Everything was wonderful! The home has everything you need and is conveniently located near restaurants and grocery stores in the area. There is an awesome market/store just up the street called Best Choice Marketplace. It has everything you can imagine. We stumbled upon it on our last day and were so disappointed no one had mentioned it in prior reviews. Skip going to Sav-A-Lot or Family Fare, buy your grocery items at Best Choice. It even has a fresh meat counter for all your grilling wants. We loved the home and the peaceful surroundings. The neighbors were super nice and quiet. We also liked the sandy bottom lake area in front of the home with easy access to the water. Unlike a lot of the homes on Houghton Lake that we saw that have a seawall, this one does not so you can walk right into the water. We have already booked our vacation week for next summer. Awesome stay!
