A self catering luxury townhouse with private plunge pool

OUTSIDE:

There is a plunge pool (3 x 4 metres approximately). There is a brick built barbecue. The outside furniture includes a glass topped table with matching chairs, two of which recline

COAST/BEACH:

There is a superb sandy beach at Praia Verde 7 minutes drive from the house. This beach has ample parking and beach restaurants and bars. It is possible to walk from here to the small resort of Monte Gordo which also has a selection of beach bars and restaurants.

GOLF:

There are four courses within 10 minutes drive and a new championship course is being constructed at Costa Esuri just over the bridge in Spain.

TRAVEL:

The nearest airport is Faro. It is 57 Kilometres from the house and about 40 minutes drive along the A22 motorway. It is also possible to fly to Seville which is about 135 Kilometres away. We advise hiring a car at the arrival airport.

DISTANCES:

Castro Marim has a small selection of local bars and restaurants. The village has a supermarket.

SHOPPING: There are a number of large towns within a short distance.

It is only ten minutes across the border to Spain and the town of Ayamonte.

The motorway system between Lagos and Seville is toll free

FURTHER DETAILS: Villa Real de Santo Antonio is an interesting town with many shops selling local textiles. There is a pleasant riverside walk. It is possible to catch a ferry over to Ayamonte on the Spanish side of the river. Both Ayamonte and Villa Real offer river trips to explore the Guidiana river. Villa Real is the terminus of the Algarve railway and an interesting (but slow) excursion can be taken using this line. Ayamonte is a good shopping centre and also has a number of interesting restaurants and bars. it is worth calling at the Parador for a drink as its bar offers excellent views of the river. Ayamonte has a new shopping centre with a Mercadona supermarket and petrol station. Here you will notice that nearly all the cars have Portuguese plates. Petrol (and cigarettes) are cheaper in Spain

Wonderful Accommodation

We didn't know this area very well, but what a great surprise. The apartment was spotlessly clean which kept the wife happy and the pool kept the kids happy even after long days at the beach. We would definitely book this property again and would recommend this area and resort to friends

Lovely villa set in an a good location not far from Faro. Ideal foe exploring over the border into Spain. Clean and well presented. Had all we needed for a family holiday. Pool a great bonus, very pleasant patio area to rest in. Hope to go back soon.

C Marim real rest

We found it lovelly, the house, the village.

It is a very quiet place. Exactly what we needed to a rest with your young children. I suggest his house to everyone who wants to pass some quiet holidays, its near the beach. The beachs near by are also lovely. Almost all have blue flag which mean they're clean wealthy beachs.

We loved it, if we decided to go to the Algarve next year, we'll go there for sure.

Golf Holiday on Portugal-Spanish border

Booked accommodation for first week in March for a golfing holiday. We usually stay around Vilamoura,so this was a new experiance.Villa was great and exactly as advertised,there was easy access to golf courses in Portygal,and to Spain which is only 5 miutes over bridge from house. These courses were better value and of equal standard to those on Western Algarve.There were several excellant resturants within a 10 minute taxi drive from house,and we have left cards from these premesis. The drive to and from Faro is simple and takes about 40 minutes. We will return with our families later in year

Relaxing Holiday

Spent a week here. Villa was very spacious, had a lovely feel as soon as you walked in and was spotlessly clean.The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed (large fridge/freezer, washing machine etc). Plenty of towels and extra bedding. The centre of Castro Marim was a short walk away and had an excellent supermarket as well a few local cafes and restaurants . We liked the idea of Spain being a five minute drive over the bridge ( don't forget the time change). We are planning to return to this villa in April 09 as we enjoyed it so much.

Super séjour !

On a passé une excellente semaine dans cette superbe maison! Quel bonheur de déjeuner a l'extérieur à côté de la piscine ou encore de rentrer d'une journée plage et de profiter du confort que propose la maison. La maison est très bien située tout se trouve à environ 5 minutes. De plus, Mr Correia est quelqu'un de très sympathique et à l'écoute, ainsi que Gary le propriétaire! Merci beaucoup! Je vous conseille vraiment cette maison, vous ne serez pas déçu!
