Elegant Prague city centre apartment in historcial building, competitive rates.

It has taken us two years to find an apartment equal in style and elegance to our first successful acquisition in Prague. The new apartment represents our values of providing accommodation which captures the historical charm of Prague, while at the same time offering value for money. This Art Nouveau building has been renovated by an Italian company. Their work on the building was nominated for an award. In the apartment, many original features have been preserved. Parquet floors, French doors, high ceilings and large original windows blend tastefully with restored antiques, chandeliers and touches of modern style. There is a sunny, quiet balcony overlooking a courtyard, where you can enjoy breakfast in tranquil surroundings. There is a two and three-seater sofa bed in the flat which comfortably accommodates extra guests. This Prague apartment has been styled with an attention to detail, care and elegance, sure to leave you with memories as deep and vivid as the city itself

About Ilan & Veronika Morris + UK contact

My wife and I currently own and manage a total of six Prague apartments. We bought our first Prague apartment in 2004 and since then we have made a further two purchases. We started focusing on short-term rentals in 2008 after renovating our first apartment, the four-bedroom 97558.

We also sublease three apartments in lessor and Old Town and view leasing as an important way to expand our business. It enables us to focus on the most prime locations in the city that boast spectacular and unique views of some of Prague’s most iconic attractions.

My wife has 10 years experience in high-level hotel management and her experience in this sector has proved invaluable in professionalizing our business. All our apartments are renovated and/or decorated with a boutique style, using authentic, antique and vintage furnishings collected and added by my wife.

We take great time and care acquiring our furnishings in an effort to create a unique and original experience for our customers. We feel it is important to differentiate ourselves from the ‘four walls and Ikea furniture’ format which is standard in many holiday-let apartments in Prague.

We prefer to focus on a lower number of apartments so that we can maintain and develop each of them with an attention to detail true to our boutique style and principles of quality over quantity.

Our apartments are cleaned and maintained to the highest level and our improvements in both comfort and decor are ongoing. Since we started in 2008 our six apartments have acquired 360 five star reviews on HomeAway and average five stars across two other major sites with additional 300 reviews.

In future we would like to expand our portfolio taking on more renovation projects which focus on converting historical apartments into high-performing holiday rentals. All our renovations aim to capture the spirit and character of the building/ apartment being restored and only take on projects where we feel this can be achieved to the highest end.

  • There are two sofa beds in the apartment. In the living room there is a sofa bed. This can seat 2 and can also sleep 1 to 2 persons. There is a larger sofa bed in the bedroom. This can seat 3 and can sleep 2 guests. With two sofa beds our guests can enjoy more flexibility in terms of their sleeping arrangements. We can sleep, for example, 2 guests in the living room and two in the bedroom or 3 in the bedroom and 1 in the living room, or 4 in the bedroom. Two single guests can also sleep in the same bedroom, but in different beds or one in the bedroom and one in the living room. There can also be a maximum of 5 guests in the apartment. Parking is available in secure underground garages 5 mins from the apartment at Hotel IBIS, Old Town. As we have contacts in the hotel industry, we were able to negotiate special rates exclusively for our guests. Instead of 650 CZK, approx 27 Euro a nights, we are able to offer our guests 350 CZK, approx 13 Euros a night. Taxi transportation can be arranged with our friendly and reliable taxi company, who will pick you up directly from the airport and take you to the apartment. Groups of up to 4 cost 25 Euros, groups of up to 8 are 35 Euros. Our drivers all speak English and are friendly and will be able to give you advice about Prague during your journey. The Owner/ representative will then meet you at the apartment to provide you with further information about your stay and the city.

Book early because you will love this apartment.

This is a lovely apartment. The owners Veronika and Ilan have thought of every detail to make you stay as pleasant as possible. We arrived by bus from Budapest so could walk from the arrival point to the apartment and were sent a google map link to show us directions. Upon our arrival Veronika welcomed us and was very generous with her time, marking up maps of places to go, to eat and showing us the apartment facilities.

What a joy to have a geranium filled balcony-perfect for a glass of wine in the evening before going out. The bedroom was lovely, very comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. The kitchen had every thing you could want and we loved the antique armchairs and sofa. An outstanding feature of this apartment is the care taken with every detail of decoration and the thoughtfulness of what is provided such as washing powder, spare towels and the like.

We loved Veronika's recommendations for places to eat and what to see and do and would happily have spent much longer in Prague. We hope to stay in your apartments again Veronika and Ilan. Thank you for making our Prague experience so enjoyable.

Excellent Location!

This property is only one block from the Florenc metro station and a full grocery store called Billa. There are also tram stops near the grocery store. It may not look it at first glance, but the location really is excellent. On the perimeter of the old town area, and very quiet. There are restaurants on the block as well as nearby. The owners of the property were extremely helpful! I had hurt my leg very badly before arriving and was walking with a crutch. They allowed me access to the apartment earlier than technically allowed and were very responsive both before the trip to my many questions and during (I only called once). If you have trouble walking be aware that while there is an elevator, there are still 2 flights of stairs to navigate to get to the elevator. While the apartment states that 5 people can be accommodated, I would not recommend it for that many people. There is little floor space (once you open the beds) to put luggage and no handy place to store clothes, an empty suitcase etc. It is most comfortable with 2 people. That said, the point of Prague is to be out and about. It was clean, pretty, affordable and in a great location with owners who are very responsive. Thank you!

FANTASTIC

Fantastic flat! This flat exceeded our expectations. It had everything we needed and more! The flat is tastefully decorated with "pops" of red that demonstrated thoughtfulness and a great eye for style and design. A grocery store and underground metro are right down the street. The flat is an easy ten minute walk to the Old City. I really can't say enough about this place! We will be back!

Lovely sanctuary in Prague

This is a lovely apartment and looks just like the photographs. Everything was very clean and in good working order. We appreciated the washing machine , the clothes drying rack , the balcony and the safe in the apartment. We loved the proximity to the metro , the bus station ( for going to the airport), the grocery store, the Karlin theatre where we went to the opera all less that 1 minute away on foot. Veronika was most accommodating and easy to deal with, she met us at the apartment and showed us all the ropes and gave very good restaurent suggestions. We had a jovial dinner with the locals at Lokal in Karlin , a quiet dinner at the Gate and a lovely dinner at the Imperial Cafe all no more than 4 minutes walk away. Even when we took the metro to have dinner in Vinorady , it took less than 10 minutes door to door. We walked to the Charles bridge in 30 minutes. There is no traffic noise and the bed was great. Beautiful apartment, responsive property owner

The apartment was beautiful, clean, and the owner's associate Misa who met us with the keys was very friendly and informative. We had a small issue with the hot water on the first day, which Ilan responded to and fixed immediately. Neighbors were noisy and that made it hard to fall asleep -- I only told Ilan when we were leaving as I didn't think it could be helped but he said that if we let him know he would have called the owners to complain and I believe he would. It was a great place to stay and we would return to it in a heartbeat!

This was a one off occurrence that won t be repeated. As the reviewer mentions, had we known during the stay we would have been able to solve the problem immediately. The apartment is in Old Town. It is 5 minutes walk to Na Prikope street, where you will find the Municiple House and the Jewish Quarter. Wenceslas square and Old Town square are a few minutes from here. Florenc metro station is 1 minute from the apartment. This will take you to Museum, the top of Wenceslas square in 2 mins. A tram and bus stop, 2 mins from the apartment ,can take you directly to the Jewish quarter in minutes. From here it is a few minutes walk to Old Town Square. You can also catch the number 8 tram directly to the castle. There are two supermarkets minutes from the apartment and Palladium shopping centre, the city's largest, is 5 close by. There is a bus station behind the apartment and the main train station Halvani Nadrazi, is one metro stop away. The Hilton Hotel is opposite the apartment with its famous sky bar where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city. The jurys Inn is also here. By tram, metro or foot this is the pefect location to explore the city
