Just minutes from the New York State Thruway, the house sleeps 12 and is situated at the north end of Cayuga lake on a private drive off West Lake Road, right on the wine trail and close to many area attractions, wineries, breweries, restaurants, and more. Ideal for multiple families, this home has five bedrooms, four bathrooms, two fireplaces, three floors, two kitchens and many areas to rest and relax indoors and out on the wrap-around porch, moon porch or beach. Offering heat and air conditioning, there is one bedroom on the first floor for those who might struggle with stairs. The fully-furnished kitchen has all the utensils, pots and pans and appliances for you to cook large meals or small and the dining has a large table to accommodate large parties. A convenient washer/dryer is available on the first floor, just off the double garage.

Very nice house. Equipped with everything we needed. Views were gorgeous. Would love to stay there when it’s warm so we could go down and enjoy the water . Definitely would go back and will pass this place on to everyone.

We purchased Shady Beach in the Fall of 2016 for our family of five to have a lakeside getaway to enjoy during each of the beautiful seasons on Cayuga Lake. Our hope is that by offering our special place to others, we'll be able to keep building and improving our lake house for all to relax and enjoy, while helping to support our dreams of retiring lakeside someday.

Why they chose this property

Cayuga Lake has always held a special place in our hearts as our family has spent many years enjoying the Finger Lakes. Cayuga's convenient location to our home base in Airport, NY, makes it ideal for us to retreat quickly to our oasis from our daily hectic life. The setting of the house and how it overlooks the lake, offers a serene atmosphere and breathtaking lake views. The house is right on West Lake Road, which is the route for the Cayuga Wine Trail and 25 wonderful wineries are situated within just a few miles of the house. The kids enjoy pumpkin chucking at Varick Winery in the fall, Winter is a wonderland of beauty and the fireplaces offer a cozy lakeside setting for holidays or just a weekend getaway. And the spring and summer are of course idea to enjoy swimming, boating, relaxing and finding new adventures, such as the area state parks and waterfall. So much to explore.
