L' Etable

L`Etable comprises 1 bedroom on 2 levels in a beautiful setting looking over the swimming pool to the countryside. The house is perfect for a couple but can accommodate 2 more people on a clic clac in the living room.

The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances including an induction stove, combination microwave / oven, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine. The dining table comfortably seats 4 as does the living space. The bathroom comprises a modern shower. The upstairs bedroom is accessed via a modern spiral staircase. The private terrace is decked out with lounges and is only meters from the pool.

For the colder seasons, L'Etable has a wood burner, central heating and a heated towel rail in the shower room, making it a cosy retreat for the snowy or autumn periods.

Cote Grange

Cote Grange comprises two rental houses (L'Etable et La Grange) and two chambre d'hote rooms around a farm courtyard, several wells and a swimming pool in the gardens. Each gite has been tastefully restored to provide a cool, pleasant living space whilst preserving the period character. Cote Grange is located in the village of Puyjourdes in the LOT region in the Southwest of France.

The Grange is a very spacious (more than 410 m2) house with 3 bedroom each with an ensuite shower room and toilet.

L'Etable is a small cottage suitable for a couple plus 1 child. It has been recently renovated for comfort during the winter months as well as the summer period.

There are also two chambre d'hote rooms available attached to the owners house.

The grounds include lawns, table tennis, play ground, a bbq area and large 15 m x 4.5 m swimming pool overlooking the countryside.

A seemingly timeless part of South France, Puyjourdes. Exceptionally beautiful, in history.

It's not difficult to relax here at the Reid's part of the world. Miles of beautiful scenery every which way. You definitely need a car, or a sturdy bike!! Villages every few kilometres, just head out of the village and it's not far to anywhere. Experience a natural rural South France.

Facilities are modern and kitchens well equipped with everything you need for at least a week. A good washing machine is a plus when you're on the road for some weeks. And to cook good food is a pleasant change.

Idyllic

Our Stay was perfect, The villa was just what we needed and the surrounds and views were truly beautiful. We were able to see the wonderful views from the living area, total relaxation which is what we were hoping for and we certainly got it. The dips in the lovely pool cooled us off to do a bit more relaxing in the sun. The village was so friendly and we became regulars in the bar in the nearby town! Certainly a place we will never forget. Thank you Emma. Elaine & Freddie, Hull.

The first guests

As the first couple to stay here it's only fair to return the compliment i'etable paid us. We had a blisfully peaceful week of serenity and calm - literally the only noise in the village is the Church bell and the cockrel next door !

Highly recommend this to anyone who wanted to get away from it all - take lots of books and leave what you finish for the next guests as we did.

The house is beautifully finished - especially liked the shower. A comment bok for visitors might be an idea so that recommendations for places to go can be passed on.

This is a charming gite in an unbeatable location and we wish the owners every success with the project and lots more contented guests.

Excellent séjour

J'ai séjournè dans l'Etable en hiver mais malgré tout j'ai pu apprécier la beauté et le calme du site. Le logement correspondait en tous points a ce que je recherchais. Tres bon séjour pour faire un break. Et de nombreux sites a proximitè.

Andrea, Klaus und Einstein

Wer einmal absolut abschalten und sich entspannen will, der ist hier auf alle Fälle richtig! Wir (2 Erwachsene und Hund) haben uns sehr wohl im L`ètable gefühlt. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist einfach traumhaft, das Dorf wirkt verwunschen, sauber und leuchtend. Man ist völlig für sich. Der Zugang zum kleinen Ferienhaus sowie zum großen erfolgt separat. Lediglich den Pool muss man sich mit den Bewohnern des großen Ferienhauses teilen. Am Pool kann es dann unter Umständen auch mal lebhafter zugehen. Ansonsten sind wir völlig begeistert. Für Hundebesitzer ist es noch wichtig zu wissen, dass der eigene Bereich nicht eingezäunt ist. Der Hund muss also schon ein wenig diszipliniert sein, wenn die anderen Gäste nicht von ihm besucht werden wollen.

Visiting the charming Market towns of Cajarc and Limogne both of which are 10 kilometers away and have markets on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Other towns to visit include Villeneuve-du-Rouergue, St.-Cirq-Lapopie, Figeac where Champollion of Rosetta Stone fame was born.

To work off the good food and take a break from the pool there are plenty of Road and Mountain Bike riding paths around the village and in the wider LOT region. Our favourite is the bike and walking track to Carjac. Horse riding, Walking, Kayaking, Swimming, Water skiing, Caving, Climbing, Parapenting are all within a easy drive or bike ride. A favourite of the kids (from 7 to 70 !!) is the rope course with various levels of difficulty finishing with a flying fox over the lake. All of these are within 15 kilometres.
