Free wifi access! Very nice and spacious house in the charming historic village of Comares.
The house can accommodate up to 8 people and has an entrance hall, living / dining room with doors to the terrace with stunning views, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, terraces and finally, beautiful terrace rooftop with spectacular views. The house also has heating, wifi internet, fireplace and parking. The house is located in the village and you can walk to bars, shops, restaurants, banks, pharmacy and bakery. The village has an excellent municipal swimming pool open July and August. You can get to great beaches in 30 minutes, by car, and Lake Vinuela is only 20 minutes away. You can see the lake from your terraces. Center of Malaga is 1 hour and you can also visit Garanada, Cordoba, Seville and Ronda within hours. Come and discover Comares! Comares is a picturesque 'blanco' village, ideally located 739m above sea level, with stunning sea views in the sierras.The village is 1 hour from Malaga and 1 hour 20 minutes from Granada.
Within the hour the amount of attractions available are many and varied, walking and go-kart rides, horseback rides and water parks, beaches and historic towns, Spanish bars and English cinema, Air-conditioned shopping malls and cobbled street villages, golf courses and sandy beaches.
Nerja with its picturesque beaches and famous caves is also just 1 hour away and you can park and ski at Sierra Nevada within 2 hours.
If you just want to relax, the Andalusian countryside is wonderful for picnics, bird watching, star gazing, painting and dramatic photography.
Many people are surprised at the flexibility of this region of Spain that allows such a 'varied holiday' to be easily achievable within its borders.

The private jacuzzi is not available from mid-November to mid-March. Please note that, in accordance with Spanish health and safety recommendations, the jacuzzi will reach a maximum temperature of 33/34 degrees. It is not possible to have the jacuzzi at a higher temperature than this, for health and safety reasons for all our customers.

You must pay a refundable deposit of €500 on arrival, by credit card. You will be refunded within 7 days of your departure. A Great Place to Stay

Comares is an experience. The location is a high whitewashed mountain village at the top of a steep winding road. In winter it was quiet but there are shops and restaurants. The house is comfortable & well equipped and the caretaker was readily available. One thing to bear in mind is the additional cost of electricity, gas & wood pellets for the heater in winter

Beautiful

7 weeks in this beautiful spanish village was not enough. The house was perfect and the views from the property are just stunning. The pellet fired central heating was superb and with a quick call to Jose a delivery of pellets was just an hour away and cheaper than other outlets which you need to travel to. if you like bright lights and bustle then this destination is not for you. In Comares the order of the day is to slow down. Sit in the plaza and watch the world go by. This is real Spain. I dont really want to gush about this place too much because i dont really want the world to know it exists!!! Perfection! "We will be back!" Thank you to David and Linda for making the booking so easy and thank you to Jose for a warm welcome and the beautiful house.

Très chouette séjour

Un chouette séjour, on a été conquis par le lieu et les vues imprénables, la maison en elle même est très bien très propre et on a été très bien assisté par le personnel de l'agence dans tous nos besoins.Le village de Comares est un village situé comme dans un nid d'aigle, il y a une piscine municipale et quelques restaurants. Nous allions au resto près de la piscine qui était très bien pour nos besoins, il font une cuisine de type cuisine maison et le personnel est très chouette.Pas énormément d'activités dans le village mais pour le calme et le repos il n'y a pas mieux. Dans les environs il y a des nombreux villages à découvrir et à 25 min il y a Velez Malaga et à environ 45 min il y a Malaga.Et bien sur des plus grande tyrolienne d'Espagne voir d'Europe juste derrière la maison!

2nd visit - even better

We stayed in Case Jose for 2 weeks last year and in our previous review said we would return, and we did. As per last year booking the property was very efficient from Linda and on arrival Jose was very welcoming. We were advised to call him if we had any issues, we didn't. There has been some work completed on the property since last year, there is now an open arch from the kitchen to the living room and it really opens the spacious entry level area and great being able to communicate with the chef in the kitchen !!! There has also been a new bbq built with a sink beside it. I understand there will be a jacuzzi pool on the top terrace soon and Jose is also going to install central heating for the winter months. The owner cares about updating the property which is lovely as we didn't know of the improvements before we arrived. I would recommend this property if you want to get away from a busy work schedule and relax. We have found Comares to be the friendliest White village of Andalusia, we don't speak Spanish and a lot of locals don't speak English. The universal language of a smile or a wave was always on offer in the village. This property would also be ideal for a group who wish to do day trips in Andalusia, very inexpensive if there were 8 staying. We thought it great value for the 2 of us. The biggest compliment I can give to Comares and the property is we hope to be back again.
