Relaxing by the ocean

Lovely couple of days by the ocean. The house is spacious and well equipped. I would say it is due for an update of styling and some little bits of maintenance. The bbq is needing a degrease and benches and walls a good clean. The location is stunning.

House and location a winning package.

The house has everything you need, well stocked, great kitchen appliances, comfy beds. Lots of storage for boards and bikes. And the location is amazing. We had breakfast on the front deck watching the surfers and the morning walkers. Sleeping to the sounds of the waves. And so close to various activities, restaurants, and cafes. We also found the owner, Amanda, amazing to communicate with and arrange our stay. We're very happy with our time at the Beach House👌

Prime position

We (two families) has a wonderful two night stay at The Beach House. The location was perfect with an easy walk to the ocean baths and yummy dinner venue. Whilst the weather was not in our favour, we all thoroughly enjoyed the use of the spa and relaxing in the lounge room with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The kitchen was well equipped and there was enough room for the 9 of us to relax without feeling on top of each other. Beds were comfortable and we were all grateful for the inclusion of beach towels. Highly recommend.

Great location

Merewhether Beach House is set up well for a great stay at a great location. The house has a beaut lounge and kitchen with views to the ocean. The master bedroom is very special and the spa was a highlight.

We have five children and we love travelling, so we know all the things that families look for in a holiday rental. We love bringing families and friends together to create magical memories in a spectacular location.

Why they chose this property

When we purchased the property a few years ago, it was an old 1950s beach cottage, and was the only traditional beach house remaining on the waterfront in Newcastle. We had a vision to restore and renovate it to create modern holiday accommodation for families and small groups visiting Newcastle because we realised that our beautiful city was attracting tourists and business visitors but had very little accommodation that would allow guests to truly feel at home while also having lots of luxurious touches.

We spent almost a year working onsite every day with wonderful local builders and tradespeople to bring our vision of the perfect holiday home to life.

What makes this property unique

The Beach House at Merewether has breathtaking ocean views, all the modern technology you could dream of, and everything you could possibly need for a luxury beach holiday creating lifelong memories. The spa and fireplace will help you wind down and the house is within walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants and scenic lookouts so you can leave the car at home and truly relax.

We have thought of everything - sheer as well as block out blinds, still and sparkling filtered water on tap, your choice of two different shower heads depending on your preference (rainfall style or handheld wall mounted), heated towel racks, switchable frosted glass on the front door and master bedroom to give you the choice of admiring the view or getting instant privacy, gaming device points in the second (children's) bedroom, an additional low recess in the shower walls for ease of shaving legs, lots of storage space, power points in bedroom cupboards for charging devices, shoe and trouser racks, Sonos sound system, Netflix, surfboard racks, outdoor drinks fridge, outdoor shower, bike racks in secure outdoor cupboard, double oven, warming drawer, all the appliances and utensils you could ever possibly need (including large sandwich press, coffee machine, rice cooker, pasta maker, children's crockery and cutlery, etc), Dyson stick vacuum, and a selection of board games, children's and adults books.
