About this property

Port Albert Waterview Retreat

THE RETREAT

Cost per night is for entire house which accommodates up to 6 people. Strictly limited to a maximum of 6 people including adults, children and infants.

Port Albert Waterview Retreat re-opened in October 2019 after extensive renovations and our guests love it.

The 3 bedroom Retreat is fully self-contained, sleeps 6 guests and is nestled in a quiet location fronting the Nooramunga Marine and Coastal Park with uninterrupted views to Wilson's Prom. The house is modern, clean and very comfortable with leather couches and chairs.

Situated on half an acre of native garden and lawn, our fishing and boating guests enjoy plenty of room to park boats and cars with easy turning access inside the property as well as the close proximity to the boat ramp.

The Retreat has an attached self-contained Manager’s residence which may be occupied during your stay. You will of course have full access to the Retreat and property.

BEDROOMS
There are 2 spacious queen bedrooms with water views and a 3rd bedroom with 2 single beds with a garden view.

KITCHEN
The brand new luxury kitchen is fully equipped with all new quality appliances including Smeg gas stove top and electric oven, large fridge/freezer with ice maker, microwave and dishwasher, cooking utensils, and plenty of crockery and cutlery, 4 toast toaster, electric kettle. There is an Aldi coffee machine with pods supplied as well as a coffee plunger. We supply pantry items such as salt and pepper, oil, vinegar, sugar, tea, instant coffee, honey etc.

DECKS
The front and back decks are ideal for barbeques with outdoor furniture and a hooded bbq. The back deck catches the morning sun and the front deck is a peaceful spot to sit and enjoy the beautiful natural view over the Nooramunga Marine & Coastal Park and watch the sunsets and bird life.

BATHROOM & TOILETS
The modern luxury bathroom has a freestanding bath and separate shower with quality fixtures and fittings. The house has one inside toilet which is separate from the bathroom and one newly renovated outside toilet. Located through the carport.

LAUNDRY
The laundry has a washing machine and laundry sink. There are 2 clotheslines - one undercover and one outdoors. There is a clothes airer located in a bedroom wardrobe.

HEATING
There are panel heaters in each bedroom and a new Coonara wood heater (with fire guard for young families on request) in the living room with wood supplied for your use.

WIFI
Free WiFi is offered to our guests with Netflix. There is a Smart TV and Bluetooth CD/radio player with a selection of CDs.

For golf enthusiasts, Yarram Golf Club has the number 1 community and volunteer maintained course in Australia. In just 20 minutes, you could be hitting off at the tee!

The local kangaroo community thrills our visitors at dusk and early morning by hopping along the walking trail which is right in front of the Retreat. And the bird life is abundant. This place is photographers’ and artists’ dream. Stargazers love viewing the night sky.

We are just a short stroll from the Port and close proximity to the boat ramp for our fishing guests.

To quote a recent guest who left this message on our Facebook page:

"Absolutely brilliant - from communication to the views, facilities and location. It was so serene there. The renovated bathroom was a winner and the scene from the windows were picturesque. Furnishings throughout the house were modern and clean and the photos and artwork on the walls added to the ambiance.

CLEANING
We use professional local cleaning contractors who ensure that the Retreat is cleaned and sanitized in accordance with the Health Department guidelines.

Quiet & relaxing
Magnificent view across the water to Wilsons Prom. Just lovely to be able to stay so close to water. Great house, very easy & functional, worked really well for a family group of adults. Loved the way the house sleeping areas can be closed off from the living areas. Kitchen is excellent. Fireplace was very efficient - kept us toasty warm - it was quite cold & rainy while we were there. Thank you for having plenty of wood on hand. Charla's welcoming touches were much appreciated especially the fresh sourdough bread. Port Albert was very quiet, it's a great area for looking around. The Prom craft market in Foster was a nice day out. A very pretty area t spend time in.

A cosy house with everything you need!
We had an amazing stay. It is very apparent all the hard work that goes into the little touches to make this house so delightful. Charla had left some beautiful treats to enjoy for afternoon tea, the fire was stacked and ready to light and a house compendium and brochures about the area gave us all the information needed. My favorite thing about this house was the gorgeous views across the water from the lounge room and deck, we all felt instantly relaxed. The kitchen is well equipped, beds new and finished with soft linen and the back yard big enough for a kick of the footy. We will definitely be back ! Thank-you for a wonderful stay.
