The house is set up for extended families or multi family group.
Very popular with Grandparents, their adult children and a bunch of grandchildren; or a group of family friends.

Share the house cost between 3 or 4 families.
Please ask for a quote if you have more than 8 adults, or more than 10 kids (under 16yrs old).

The Happy House is self contained, 3 bedroom plus a sleepout; with 2 bathrooms, a huge front verandah and fully fenced yard.

It is child friendly, comfortable, and relaxed.

A beach chic styled holiday house. It is open plan, so it catches the beautiful ocean breezes.

The Happy House has a very large fully covered front deck / outdoor living area; with Cafe blinds to protect guests from strong wind and rain, or can be rolled up to enjoy the gentle sea breezes.

We have child safety locks in the kitchen, a baby gate that can be moved to where ever needed. It has a high chair and even a small shower bath in the 2nd bathroom.

We have a full family kitchen with family size fridge, upright freezer, an upright gas stove with 4 burners, griller and oven.

2 x 6 seater dining tables and a high chair.

Cutlery and dinner settings for 12 adults; and plastic cups and plates for younger children; Kitchen utensils, coffee cups, Coffee pots, glasses, wine glasses, saucepans, frypans, wok, roasting pans, lots of pizza trays etc

👉🏼Electric toaster, Coffee Pod machine, electric mixer and even an air fryer.

Kid’s lounge has a 3 seater sofa-bed lounge chair and a TV / DVD with a few children’s DVDs too.
We have some board games, a few kids books and card games and some outside games too.

Washing machine is in the ensuite bathroom.
The adult lounge has 2 x 3 seater sofa-bed lounge chairs.

The deck is fully weather protected and has a safety pool style fence / railings and a self closing safety gate.

We have a large 6 burner flat plate BBQ,
2 x 8 seater wooden BBQ tables
A 4 seater lounge area, a 2 seater lounge suite and 2 x 3 seater sifa-bed lounge chairs.

We also have an 85inch smart TV with satelite TV, and if you are tech savvy, you can hook it up to your own phone for playing your own music, video and Netflix etc

👉🏼In the yard
Out on the front lawn, we have an Igloo shaped, wood fired pizza oven, with a large prep table beside it.
So bring your favourite pizza recipes and a bag of milled wood and a bag of kindling👍🏼

We have a fire pit for you to relax around, with a bunch of outdoor chairs; you can even see the big TV while sitting around the fire.

We also have a toddler play fort.

We have 2 outside clothes lines, one is undercover.
Near the clothes lines we have a hose that can be used to wash down cars and fishing gear etc

Out the front gate, under the palm trees, we have a fish cleaning station with a hose and large filleting table.

🐕The house is fully fenced in safety pool style fencing. Front gates can be left closed or open, whatever you prefer

🐕The whole of Happy Valley township is also enclosed by a large dingo proof fence and grid, so children are safe from dingos if they play outside in the common area or walk to the shop

The house is fully off grid solar powered with 28 solar panels and 4 lithium storage batteries, as well as a back up generator for cloudy days and the high power demand times.
Power is on 24/7

Family Bedroom 1 - Queen Size bed.
Has room for a BYO porta cot.
(sleeps a couple + baby / toddler in this room) or the grandparents room.

Family Bedroom 2 - Triple bunk (double on bottom, single on top) + 1 set of single bunks. (sleeps a couple + 3 kids in this room, could fit a BYO porta cot in here too)

Family Bedroom 3 -Triple bunk (double on bottom, single on top) + 1 set of single bunks. (sleeps a couple + 3 kids in this room)
Ensuite bathroom with toilet shower and washing machine.

Sleep out - Triple bunk (double on bottom, single on top) also room for a Byo porta cot.

Outside, there is only room for parking 4 X 4wds and hosing down fishing or swimming gear.

Min stay is 3 nights, check in is after 2pm, check out is before 10am.

🔴We have very friendly on-site managers that live in their own seperate cottage - to assist with anything you may need during your stay and they give great fishing tips too.
You can also request, in advance, for them to catch you some surf worms for bait🔴

The Happy House is located at Happy Valley on the Eastern, surf side beach on K'gari, and to get there a 4wd vehicle is ESSENTIAL.

Happy Valley is almost mid way along the beautiful 75 mile ocean surf beach and we think K’Gari has the best beaches in Qld.

K'gari - is a World Heritage listed National Park and the most beautiful location.

The Happy House is situated near the front of Happy Valley, it is only a 100m stroll down the boardwalk to the 75 mile ocean beach.
Its only a 150m stroll on the boardwalk in the opposite direction, back to the local corner shop. It sells ice, groceries, takeaway, bait and fuel, souvenirs and barista coffee. There is also bar / restaurant and an ATM, an Australia Post box and even a public pay phone.

From the house, it is only a 10 min drive North along the beach to lovely Eli Creek and 15 minutes to the famous Maheno ship wreck.

There are no cleaners in Happy Valley

So please clean when you leave
✔sweep and mop floors, vacuum rugs
✔Wipe out the fridge
✔wipe down the shower, bath and toilets with the cleaners supplied (gloves under the sink)

♦️We do NOT expect you to do a bond clean.
Just leave it as clean as you found it, and wipe kid hand prints off the walls etc. ♦️
