Can Sulo is set in the oldpart of the small town of Rocallaura, 90 minutes from Barcelona.
Situated at the entrance of the town, this four storey house faces a spectacular landscape with views over the valley of corn and the Tallat hill.
With seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, Can Sulo can sleep up to 14 people.
The entire property is at your disposal; its 70m² lounge with bar, the kitchen in the former wine cellar, the Roman swimming pool, a charming walled garden as well as two terraces both with fantastic views.
The whole building has been sensitively restored, saving the original architectural features that give it so much charm and personality.Halfway between Tarrega and Montblanc, Rocallaura is part of the Corb river valley. A little known corner of the Catalan geography with wonderful rural landscapes that supports an impressive biodiversity.
Rocallaura is a typical small Catalan village famous for the healing properties of its spring water. In the village you will doubtless come across a cosy restaurant-bar called the Rocallaura Café where Enio and Marsiela will welcome you with a big smile and their fabulous menu du jour.

parfait

très agréable maison, spacieuse, belle, fraîche . le lieu est parfait à 15 dans un petit village adorable . Le propriétaire nous a parfaitement accueilli et donné toutes les informations nécessaires. Je recommande pour ceux qui aime le calme et l'espace !

Fantastic Stay in a Fabulous House

We couldn't have asked for a better host in Roland. His house was beautifully maintained, spacious and extremely comfortable for our group of 13. He arranged for chefs from the local restaurant (wonderful!) to serve us dinner on our first night. The array of all local food & wine was spectacular--hams, cheeses, fresh tortilla, salad, olives--it was the perfect introduction to the area and our village. Roland also arranged a great wine tasting with a local winery in the house's ancient wine cellar. Roland quickly responded to all of our questions and requests, and made reservations for us at spectacular restaurant in the area. The area is stunning and each medieval village has something to discover. The Cistercian Monastery Route runs right through Rocallaura so we did daily hikes on the route to a neighboring village. The Vallbona de Los Monges Monastery (continuously operating for over 800 years) where you can have a wonderful tour is also just down the road. The city of Montblanc is only 20 minutes away and is a charming place to spend an afternoon. This is the perfect place to start a trip to Spain and get immersed in Catalan culture off the tourist map.

Pace, tranquillità a Roccalaura

Casa Grandissima, con tutti gli accessori, perfetta per famiglie, posizione strategica per girare la spagna, sempre fresco la sera. piscina piccola e acqua fredda ma carina. Ottima permanenza, bella la spagna.

I am German and I have been in Spain for 30 years, for 5 years we have reformed Can Sulo, it has been a declaration of love towards the house and the people.
Can Sulo is from the 18th century, we found it in ruins but soon we saw the potential that it had and the secrets and stories that it hid.
Rocallaura is a small town with a charming atmosphere and its inhabitants welcomed us with open arms and so it continues to happen with the people who visit us

Why they chose this property

Can Sulo is the perfect place for all of you! Lots of space to enjoy and discover. The privileged location of the house allows sun and views of the entire valley. The town remains intact with its stone houses, there is no traffic and friendly and open neighbors.
After meeting us, we offer a plan with everything that can be done during your stay in our house. Visit the medieval towns, or the Cistercian Monasteries.
Try the wines with international reputation of the Cellers de la Do Conca de Barbera. Also the Do Priorat and Montsant are nearby.
We are in the GR of the Cister Route part of the Camino de Santiago.
There is possibility of excursions with horses and bicycle rental.
Tarragona world heritage site is 40 minutes away We are already 649 meters high, at noon it is hot, but in the afternoon the marinade starts, the breeze from the sea, that is why we sleep in summer without a fan or air conditioning.
