Great spot
My husband and his friends stayed at this property and had a great time. Fantastic location right in the middle of native bush and lots of fauna milling around. Would recommend this location as a quiet and well appointed house. Would definitely stay again.

Great location
Perfect location for catching up with family and friends in Brisbane and Ipswich. Wonderful deck and gardens. We had some confusion when booking for 2 people in two separate rooms, but with good communication by owners, it was readily sorted out. Quick response to our need for extra blankets when the weather turned unexpectedly cold.

Easy check in and great location
Check in was super easy, location is great, lovely gardens and neighbors. We found the place lacked in cleanliness, areas of black mould, dust, used cotton buds just to name a few.

Dingy, tired stuck in the 80’s. Easy chairs very old & uncomfortable. No milk, 2 only dishwashing tablets, minimal dishwashing liquid no washing machine powder. Not particularly clean.

What a hidden gem!
This is an amazing property in a part of Brisbane we'd not explored before. Janet was prompt and delightful to deal with. Kids loved the space - both inside and outside. And we love seeing a part of SEQ we'd not seen before.

About the host

Jim and I are retired, but enjoy gardening and meeting people. Our 4 acre property keeps us busy and fit.

Why they chose this property

We bought the 6 acre property in 1980 as we had a young family and felt that we needed more space for the children. This led to keeping horses and chickens which involved us all until the children left home. I then started the garden and we have enjoyed opening the garden to the public and meeting like minded people. We chose the property because it had not been cleared and had native gums and had wonderful views of the surrounding hills

What makes this property unique

The peace and quiet and having the wildlife wander around the property and to hear the bird calls. The property has a wonderful covered deck which looks out above tree tops to the surrounding hills. The property has slopes and gullies as it is part of the D'Aquilar ranges.
