Our farm stay has been apprvoved by the Shire and the Department of Fire and Emergency - DFES.
This farm house has a bull nose verandah where people can sit, read, chat, watch the sheep and chooks graze, birds bath or listen to music, a BBQ is also on the veranda.
People may bring their dog/ dogs the yard is fully fenced, however because its a working farm, for safety reasons dogs must no be allowed to go outside the fenced off yard around the house. If you wish to take the dog for a walk down Ward Road for safety reasons must be kept on a lead.
Inside are two queen size bedrooms one with a single bed in it for a young person, Also there is a double bed room and one single bedroom, all have everything you need in them, including electric blankets..
The lounge room has a TV DVD Player,and wood heater we only supply wood for your first night baged wood can be puchased in town at both service stations and the IGA. This house has a separate dinning room with wood heater, library, board games, a table tennis, and Foos Ball in the house.There are no carpets, polished jarrah floor boards.
There is a large covered decking area with a BBQ off the dinning room, a perfect place for an outdoor meal or to sit and enjoy the open spaces.
This farm stay house has everything you need, except a washing machine there is a laundromat in town $6 a load, you only need to bring your food.
If people wish to bring their pushbikes, Ward Road is a safe road to ride on, helmets must be worn at all times.
This farm stay house is 9 KM out of Mount Barker, thus between the Stirling Ranges and the Porongurups.Denmark is 50KM from Ward Road and Albany is 65KM and has easy access to the Plantagenet Porongurups and Frankland River Winerys.
Prices are $120 per couple per night, an extra adult is $50 per person per night and for children, $30 per child per night. There is no charge for dogs, and a fenced off kennel area is in the garden, also Halsey Hounds boarding kennels is close by at 31173 Albany Highway, Mount Barker, Phone 0447069550
As this farm is a working farm and there are dams on the property, although the house is well fenced off from the dams it is important that parents are fully aware.
Please do not go down Wilson Road, Google Earth recommends Wilson Road but no you must go straight to Ward Road which runs off Albany Highway this will take you straight to the Gum Trees Farm House.
