One of Mudgee's historical and best appointed historic homes (classified by the National Trust) "Westville" has been painstakingly restored to its former glory, but brought up to date with all the features of 21st Century living.

This home is ideal for groups of up to 8 guests for friends and family get-togethers and weekend wine-tastings or exploring all the attractions Mudgee has to offer - from wine cellar doors, to local farmers markets, fine-dining, superb local and organic produce, horse riding/racing, national parks and much more.

Built in 1885, this classic late Victorian house - with wide iron-lace verandas, vine covered pergola and courtyard and a unique restored slab barn - is set in one-third of an acre of shady, private, fully fenced gardens in the heart of Mudgee. It retains the charm of a bygone era including restored cedar joinery and decorative plasterwork, .

"Westville" has 4 generous queen-sized bedrooms (2 with queen size beds, 1 with an antique brass double bed and 1 with twin single beds) featuring decorative cornices and original marble fireplaces (decorative only), a fully equipped modern chef's kitchen with Miele appliances and a modern bathroom. It also features extensive indoor and outdoor areas including living room with the original cedar ornamental fireplace and cast iron Metters grate, solar hot water, air-conditioning and much more.

There is off street parking for 2 cars and unlimited free street parking.

“Westville is the ideal sanctuary to relax and unwind, host family reunions or simply be a convenient base to explore all the exciting attractions the Mudgee region has to offer.

Please note that while the house can sleep up to 8 people, there is 1 modern but modest bathroom only to service all the guests in your group. the bathroom is comprised of a shower, a toilet, a basin and a heated towel rail.

Lovely old house close to mudgee town centre
6 adults booked for the long weekend. On initial arrival we thought "wow"! But then....Lounge room just big enough for the 6 of us. Needs a good clean out unfortunately. Cobwebs and dusty. The bathroom/toilet is one tiny room. Not really suitable for 6(or 8) persons all wanting to use the facilities in the mornings. . It stated on the property description that there was 2 undercover car spots. There was absolutely no way we could park our cars in there as it was occupied with large objects that could not be moved...and because it states "you absolutely must not park on the grass" we had to park on the street. The description should also state the covered area would house small cars only. The outdoor room really is just the laundry and was not clean or even usable. Most of the gardens were not well maintained. Grass needed a mow. Unfortunately for what we paid per night $768(we stayed 3 nights) we did expect better. On a positive note, the house is a lovely heritage home and the rooms were well equipped to keep us warm.
