LOCATION.

The old part of Marion Bay is a 2 minute drive from Las Arenas or a 10 minute walk. Here you will find the General store which is open 7 days & provides fuel, gifts, food, magazines, bait, household goods & a selection of DVD's for hire.

The Marion Bay Tavern is open 7 days with delicious Australian dining accompanied by awesome sea views. It also has take away pizzas, a bottle shop & ATM.

The town also has a playground & tennis courts and public phone. The Marion Bay boat ramp is located here next to the jetty (the Marion Bay jetty is famous for catching the biggest squid in the State!) and the beach is a family friendly beach, usually fairly tame water with glorious white sand & rocks to explore at Penguin Point.

At low tide the right side of the beach close to Penguin Point becomes the perfect place for families with shallow wading pools, a large flat area for beach cricket!!!

Around the corner is Willyama Beach which is a beautiful unspoilt beach, with a nice wave on the reef and great scuba diving opportunities on the wreck of the Willyama (wrecked April, 1907).

Innes National Park is just a 5 minute drive from Las Arenas. There is a boat ramp at Fishermans Village in Pondalowie Bay and Stenhouse Bay Jetty is a great place to fish. The Innes National Park Visitor Information Centre is open 7 days a week.

Liked the house
I did like the house but went to have a shower and the hot water wasn’t on so 12 of us had to go to the caravan park to have a shower as we all had been on the charter boat fishing and needed a shower straight away. Also there was a lot of dead blow flies everywhere inside especially on the stairway

About the host

Hosted by Clint Press

Host profile image
I bought the block when I was 21. The street was just sand and trees, not much else. I built the house new in 2009-10 & designed it to be accommodating for large groups of people. I hope you will enjoy it even half as much as I do!

Why they chose this property

Large trees protect you from the winds that rip across the ocean and the peninsula, and provide shade, privacy and sanctuary to native wildlife. You will stay cool all Summer long in Las Arenas and the well insulated house is very fast to heat in Winter. The house has been well built to entertain large groups of people.

What makes this property unique

Enjoy Al-fresco dining with the beautiful private garden setting.
