About this property

3 bedroom eco house on 160 acre property with private garden and river frontage

'The Shed' is a converted machinery shed, which has been lovingly and creatively transformed into luxury accommodation using reclaimed and recycled materials. A luxurious eco-haven for a peaceful escape from the everyday world!

Broger’s End is a piece of heaven that is bordered by the Kangaroo River and Broger’s Creek, offering self-catered eco-eclectic luxury accommodation and a peaceful escape from the everyday world! The Shed is set amongst permaculture gardens on a 160 acre working farm with walking tracks where you can explore and admire breathtaking views of the Kangaroo Valley.

The space

Entering into The Shed via beautiful vintage doors you find yourself in a large living area that includes a rustic fire place surrounded by comfy lounges and chairs, an 8 seater farmhouse dining table and fully equipped kitchen including a large stove and oven.

The kitchen opens onto an outdoor entertaining area and dining space, complete with a wood fire pizza oven and BBQ. Lean over and pick herbs from the garden and collect the free range eggs from our chickens to add to your sumptuous dinner. There is an outdoor fire pit and outdoor bath just outside The Shed - perfect for adventure seekers.

The Shed includes three large bedrooms, two of which have king size beds - both can be made up into two king singles if required. The third room has a queen and single (bunk bed style). All beds are fitted with electric blankets and thick quilts in winter.

Facilities in The Shed include linen and towels, free wireless internet, and air conditioning for summer. There is an espresso machine stocked with fresh coffee beans roasted right here in Kangaroo Valley as well as a mini bar filled with handpicked locally made beverages for you to enjoy.

An absolute haven for friends, families and the beloved pooch if you like.

Established walking tracks through varying landscape take you through paddocks, escarpment, rainforest, offering many picnic spots with breathtaking views and abundant wildlife. See kangaroos, wallabies and wombats up close in their natural environment! Whether you choose to explore everything the valley has to offer, or to relax in the garden, or by the fire with a good book, Broger's End is a wonderful escape.
Broger's End is accredited with EcoTourism Australia. We are powered by the sun with our solar panels and Tesla battery. We collect rainwater for all our water and have composting systems for food scraps and other waste. We aim to tread as lightly as we can on this beautiful part of the world.

Located just 2 hours drive from Sydney or Canberra, and 6 km from Kangaroo Valley Village, Broger’s End is the perfect place to relax and enjoy what the Australian bush has to offer. Broger's End is located ifar enough from the village to be a peaceful retreat, but close enough to pop into town for dinner at a nice restaurant, or visit the shops.

Guest access

Guests have access to all spaces shown. The Open Bay Area where the pool table and pianos are pictured can be hired at an extra cost. Small gatherings are welcome up to 12 people when booking both The Shed and The Dairy. No parties are to be held at ANYTIME on our property. We have a strict noise curfew of 8pm on weekdays and 10pm on weekends and loud music is not tolerated.

Native and vegetable/herb garden, outdoor bath, walking tracks throughout the 160 acres, plentiful wildlife. River frontage for swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking (equipment can be hired in the village).

Country get away experience
Nice peaceful experience. Few issues with bbq not fully operational with 2 burners not working and some stains on sheets in our bedroom. The 4pm earliest arrival time restricts use of facility when on short 2 day stay . One feel like you arrive on day 1 unpack and day is done using site especially during non DLS Appreciated the environmentally friendly designs and reuse . On-site management staff very friendly and helpful.

kangaroo valley stay
The shed is a lovely experience. The house was fun and beds and linen all comfortable. Tori was available and helpful for questions. My only disappointment was that the outdoor area was not well maintained with broken furniture and garden area very overgrown with weeds etc. Phone reception not good and internet patchy. We enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

A sort of farm stay
3 generations, pre-xmas, family get together. We got the 40c Sat and 16c Sun with NSW on fire, before Xmas, so an extreme weather weekend. The beds and bamboo sheets are super comfy. The coffee machine is great. The wines available for purchase when you run out, very handy. Good aircon and fans. Everything you need in the kitchen. BUT, like most of NSW, we could not go outside at all on the Saturday. There is no TV, radio or music (My fault for missing that detail). There is a bluetooth speaker for your phone. Also, it is really 1 bathroom and 1 toilet. Not an issue over relaxed weekend to wait for the shower though. The BBQ, outdoor tables and chairs could all do with replacing/repairs. A Weber was delivered the next day. Flies (it is a farm) made it very hard to sit outside anyway. Maybe when it's cooler is better. All in all though, we had a lovely, inside, chatty, game playing weekend.

Beautiful Broger’s End.
We thought Broger’s End a wonderful, welcoming place. The surrounds are beautiful, beds fantastic, the Shed and Dairy warm and inviting. We were a big group - 4 children - so the space really worked for us - not to mention the rope swing! Tori and Dee are the greatest assets. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly, and responded to our every need. We would come again in a heartbeat.

CHARMING HOME IN GORGEOUS SETTING
We really enjoyed our stay at The Shed. The house is an interesting collection of materials put together in a tasteful manner. Everywhere you look there is something of interest. The house is beautifully equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen. The garden is lush and full of a variety of vegetables. We collected several eggs while we were there and the children enjoyed feeding the chooks. The setting is absolutely stunning with walking tracks up the ridge or down to the river. A wonderful place for a family to stay.
