Ideal for a family, group of friends or a romantic getaway for two, it comfortably sleeps up to 5 people. During your stay you have full use of the Kingfisher Bay Resort facilities.
Please be aware this property is not wheelchair accessible due to steps and is not suitable for guests who have mobility issues. The resort porter service can assist with luggage.
The Villa space:
The villa has a master bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed and a second bedroom with new comfortable double and single beds, which sleeps 3.
The living area and both bedrooms are fully air-conditioned.
A flat screen television, with Fox TV, and a DVD player add to the quality of your stay.
The villa is self-contained with full kitchen and laundry facilities, featuring washing machine, dryer, deep tub and a clothes drying rack. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and also includes microwave and electric fry-pan. There is laundry liquid and dish-washing liquid supplied in sachets for your first initial few days. Please note the villa does not have any cooking supplies or condiments as the distant owner is not able to replace or replenish these items. Please bring all your cooking requirements or use the well stocked nearby general store.
Wifi is provided by the resort. Free WiFi is available in the reception and pool areas. Individual WiFi requirements for villas can be arranged on arrival at reception for a small fee. This applies throughout the resort vicinity. In the villa, mobile devices get optimum reception from the dining area near large windows and on the deck of the villa. An Optus tower provides WiFi coverage for the resort environment.
Resort Access:
The Kingfisher Bay Resort facilities include restaurants, pools, heated spa and tour bookings. Take your own 4x4 on a World Heritage listed K'gari, (Fraser Island) adventure, go fishing, boating or whale watching- the options are endless.
A two minute stroll takes you on a scenic path through the bush to a magnificent entrance to the beach. Alternatively, you can walk down through the Resort reception and pool complex to the stunning lagoon, Wallum, area and onto the beach front near the Pier. The walkways in this environment are spectacular, - a hilltop lookout or longer coastal bank walk are within easy reach of the villa.
Guest Interaction:
Guests who stay in Sensational Satinay Villa 633, will be treated as any other resort guest with access to Reception or Housekeeping for any queries and all other resort facilities including tours, restaurants, the shop and beauty spa. Individual WiFi packages can be arranged with Reception on arrival for a small fee. Free WiFi is available in the reception area. Pool towels are available from reception.
The villa is privately owned and the owner lives out of town. While staying in the villa all queries must be directed to the resort. Phone '9' to reach reception from the villa phone. This provides access to housekeeping and maintenance departments or the porter or ranger service should you require them during your stay. When checking in, guests will open an account for any food and beverage consumption during their stay.
Environmental features:
The local indigenous Butchalla people are the original inhabitants of K'gari (Fraser Island) and they maintain a strong connection to the island. If you wish to learn more about the local indigenous culture, take the ranger guided walks to learn about bush tucker and other features of the natural environment.
Bird lovers are well catered for in this species rich environment. Viewings of a wide variety of native species occur throughout the day but early morning bird watching guided walks are a must for those interested in the diversity of wildlife on this unique island. Guided night walks also provide unique nature viewing experiences.
World Heritage K'gari, (Fraser Island), is a stunning environment with a wide variety of natural features.
Getting to and around the island:
A vehicle barge takes guests and visitors from Riverheads near Hervey Bay on a 45 minute cruise across the Great Sandy Straits to the Kingfisher Bay Resort. This is booked separately through the resort. From there guests can check into the villa and relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounding by foot for the duration of their stay or use their own or hired 4x4 vehicle to explore the vast K'gari, (Fraser Island) environment.
Tours of the island are also available and can be booked through reservations or reception.
There are sealed roads around the resort and available parking up above the villa. The roads around the island are unsealed and can vary in condition. Check available websites for more information on this. The resort can also offer advise on 4 wheel driving on K'gari, (Fraser Island). 4 wheel drive vehicles are for hire at the resort but there is a need to book ahead in busy times.
