Fully self-contained conjoined holiday house with 3 bedrooms, one bathroom with toilet plus separate second toilet and a laundry. Located right on Roches Beach at Lauderdale, 20 minutes drive to Hobart and 15 minutes from the airport. Open plan kitchen/living/dining room overlooks and opens onto a paved, fenced area enclosing a solar heated pool. Sleeps 6 (or 7 if portacot or trundle bed used).One bedroom with a queensized bed and 2 bedrooms with 2 singles in each. If desired, 2 singles can be converted to a king sized bed. Outside is a private undercover eating area and BBQ for sole use of guests. Guests have shared use of the pool, spacious garden, playground (with swings, monkey bars, seesaw, trampoline), gravel tennis court and separate games room with a 3/4 sized pool table, darts, quoits, kids' toys. The property also has a creek and is home to ducks, sheep, chooks, bandicoots, possums, potaroos and native hens. The beach is 50 metres from the house, is great for kids and there are sand toys available for use. Tennis racquets and balls and snorkels, masks and flippers are in the games room (which is 20 metres from the house) and can be borrowed. There is a tree house and a stroll up the creek which runs through the property. The property is very family friendly with lots for children to do.
Local Attractions
Lauderdale is bordered by the Ralphs Bay Conservation Area which forms part of the Derwent River estuary on one side and Frederick Henry Bay on the other. Roches Beach and Ralphs Bay are ideal for windsurfing, swimming or water skiing. Clifton Beach which is Hobart's closest surfing beach is 12 minutes away and other beaches and picnic spots within an easy drive include the seaside villages of Cremorne, South Arm and Opossum Bay. Fishing is a popular pastime in the local area. Bird watching can be enjoyed at Ralph's Bay and the mutton bird rookeries are worth a visit at Clifton Beach at dusk between November and March when the adults return from a day at sea to feed their chicks

Lauderdale has shops selling supermarket items, high quality fresh fruit and vegetables, two excellent delis, butcher shops, a newsagent and post office, hairdressers, bakery, church, tavern, restaurants, petrol stations, take away food shops and a chemist. The nearest Woolworths and Coles are 10 minutes drive away.
From Bambra Lodge it is 20 minutes drive to historic Richmond and the Coal River Valley wineries. Port Arthur is 90 minutes away and the east coast can be reached in and hour. There are 7 golf courses within a 25 minute drive.
