The local transit bus stops around the corner and will take you to Rockingham City shopping centre for some serious retail therapy, or to the train station where you can board a train and be in Perth in less than 40 minutes.

Local History...

Located forty minutes south of Perth, Rockingham is a holiday resort city of some 142,000 residents. In 1827 Captain James Stirling landed on Garden Island just off the coast, and two years later the Swan River Colony was founded. Nowadays, Garden Island is home to HMAS Stirling Naval Base, Australia's largest fleet base. In the early days, Rockingham was a busy port for the timber industry, shipping jarrah and sandlewood overseas. Rockingham is a popular tourist destination with beautiful expanses of safe beaches, water sports, and environmental parks.

'Seaview ' is situated right in the heart of the Rockingham foreshore. The cafe strip has an abundance of fine eateries where one can wine and dine al fresco style while watching the sun set over the Indian Ocean. Free electric BBQ's, picnic tables and benches are provided on the foreshore parks for leisurely family outings. There is nowhere else within 250km of Perth that boasts such a versatile, interesting and attractive coastline.

Great location

Property is in a good location, close to beach and restaurants. It was clean and tidy and was adequate for the needs of myself and adult daughter. Could do with a little bit of updating and better beds as not that comfortable. Only complaint is that the neighbours are extremely noisy so makes. Probably not much the owner can do about that as the other units are obviously residential rather than holiday let’s.

Great location in well appointed apartment

The apartment is up one flight of stairs, about 2 mins walk to Rockingham Beach with the balcony fronting Kent Street across from the bowls club. Spacious and scrupulously clean 2 bedroom with a separate toilet, washing machine, full kitchen with lots of cutlery and crockery. Good size lounge room and dining area. The airon worked well on the hot days we were there. It's about a 10 min walk to the IGA, close by to restaurants and coffees shops. Communication and checkin with the host was first rate. We felt right at home from the minute we got there. Will definately stay again.

I recently retired from the teaching profession and now enjoy spending more time with family and friends. I was born and raised in Torquay, Devon, England where my parents ran a B&B during the summer season, so hospitality is no stranger to me. Managing my own holiday rental apartment has taken me back to my roots. I thoroughly enjoy the interaction with guests, and being able to showcase Rockingham and all its wonderful amenities in the area is a privilege.
