OCEANFRONT SUITE ON WALK ON SANDY BEACH WITH INCREDIBLE VIEWS

Consider this lovely, bright 1 bedroom waterfront suite on a sandy beach in Cordova Bay, Victoria's hidden gem, for a quiet retreat or an active vacation.

This suite is situated at beach level and the living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen have spectacular views of the water, San Juan island and snow covered Mount Baker in the distance. There are brand new furnishings throughout including a comfortable high quality queen size bed.

If you are an early riser, you can watch spectacular sunrises over the water, either on the covered deck adjacent to your suite, the patio right down at the beach or from the comfort of the living room through the wall to wall windows at the front of the suite. At night, if it is clear, you can watch the moon rise and its shimmering light reflect on the tranquil waters.

The beach is approximately 40 steps from your suite. It is about 1 kilometer in length and at some low tides it is possible to walk a much longer distance along the sand bars.

In addition to the stunning scenery, there are various species of wildlife to encounter including seals, eagles, blue herons, otters, cormorants and deer. On rare occasions we have seen orcas and grey whales in the bay.

Cordova Bay Golf Course, is a 20 minute walk. It is one of best public golf courses in B.C. and is immaculately maintained and an Audubon Certified golf course. There is a nice restaurant and lounge at the golf course. There is also a 9 hole par three golf course maintained by the same grounds crew to similar standards.

There is a pharmacy virtually across the street. Additional shops and services are available at Matticks Farm Market, where you will find a produce Market Adriennes
Restaurant, Liquor Plus and a number of boutique shops. Here you will also find the Tall Tree Integrated Health Centre which provides Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, Chiropractic, Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture services.

The Lochside Trail is easily accessible from our location and you can ride a bike from
Cordova Bay to downtown Victoria along the trail or to the quaint seaside town of Sidney. You can also access the Galloping Goose Trail, and ride for 55 kilometers to the abandoned gold mining town of Leechtown. There are numerous other hiking and biking trails throughout the region that are suitable for various levels of physical fitness.

The suite is the perfect quiet oasis to relax and get away. it is only a 20 minute drive downtown Victoria where there are numerous activities and attractions including
whale watching, fishing, horse drawn carriage rides and fisherman's wharf where you can feed the seals and have lunch on the dock, to name a few.

You can also visit the world famous Empress Hotel, the British
Columbia Legislature, the Royal B.C. Museum and the Art Gallery of Victoria.

The renowned Butchart Gardens, should not be missed and is a 15 minute drive away in the seaside village of Brentwood Bay. In Brentwood Bay, you can also catch the Mill
Ferry across Saanich Inlet to begin your exploration of the rest of Vancouver Island.

We are located approximately 15 to 20 minutes away from the Victoria International Airport and the B.C. Ferries terminal.

Made Us Smile, A Lot!
This property is meant for two persons, and that suited us well. The owners live upstairs - no problem, and they had just the right amount of friendly interaction with us. The property was very neat and clean when we arrived. It was equipped with everything we needed. There were plenty of windows and the views were excellent. The neighborhood was up-scale. The property is on a quiet street. There are good restaurants and shops within a short drive. We would recommend this property for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. Than you, Rainer and Barb, for everything!

A little slice of heaven
My husband and I were fortunate to stay for the month of June at this location. It was absolutely lovely! The view is exactly as the pictures show and the home itself is better than the pictures. When you walk in you are surrounded by windows and feel like you are at the beach immediately. The living area is welcoming and comfortable. The kitchen is equipped really well for all your needs. The bedroom is spacious and having laundry facilities in the bathroom, especially for a long stay, is fantastic. The location is great for walking to a nearby restaurant and the lovely Mattick's Farm and the drive to downtown Victoria or Sidney is very easy. Finally, Rainer and Barb are lovely people and can't do enough to make you feel welcome and comfortable. This is the best place I have ever rented and I have been using VRBO around the world for a long time. Highly recommend!!

Perfect Fall Getaway
Accommodation was very comfortable, perfect size for one to two people. Had everything I needed. Perfect location for me. Quiet, great place to unplug and leave work stress behind. A Wonderfull Getaway!
My husband and I spent 10 nights at this rental. It is ideally located with a view of the ocean, and easy access to the beach. The accommodation was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. We appreciated sitting on a deck in front of the suite, and the thoughtfulness of our host in putting chairs out on a deck right by the beach for our use and enjoyment.We had excellent communications with our hosts prior to our arrival and during our stay. Our hosts were attentive to our every need and request. They were available if needed, but respected our privacy. The accommodations and view are outstanding. We are two professional accountants who have lived in Victoria since 1976 and purchased this property in 1993 when we saw it as we were walking along the beach. Rainer is semi-retired and Barb is the Director of Finance for the Art Gallery of Victoria. Now that our kids are grown and have left home, we have renovated our lower level to create this beautiful suite.
We are both active and enjoy walking, hiking and biking. Rainer is also an avid golfer and pickleball player.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property because it is located at beach level on a sandy beach. Beach level access properties which do not require stairs to get to and from the beach are quite rare in Greater Victoria.
The other thing that attracted us is the proximity of the grocery store, pharmacy, coffee shop, restaurants and golf course. We don't need to get into our car for every little thing.
