This apartment has a double bedroom, a shower room with WC and washbasin, a living room with TV, DVD and radio, WiFi, and a kitchen area with all kitchen utensils and crockery, fridge, electric ring, electric kettle and microwave. Outside there is a balcony with a dining area, and in the garden below a barbecue and seating.
Beautiful setting in private mature gardens with swimming pool protected by retractable Plexiglas domed cover, extending swimming season at either end of main season. Ideal for couples alone or for 2 or 3 couples holidaying together. Wonderful outdoor living in summer, with barbecues and ample outdoor furniture for dining or relaxing. The hamlet is on a quiet road with most of the through traffic being on the canal rather than by road, yet all facilities nearby- 3 restaurants and a piano bar in the hamlet, a large supermarket 1 mile away in neighbouring village, (groceries and bread are available at 300 metres from a barge) banks and post office within 2-3 miles. Ideal spot for cycling (cycles available at the apartment) or walking. Many historic and geographical touristic sites in vicinity, as well as wine routes. Area known for wine and fruit production.

We bought this property as a wreck with wine-making barns attached and refurbished the house, converted the barns into 3 1-bedroomed gites, built a swimming pool and landscaped the gardens. Since then we have been letting the apartments and have enjoyed many happy times with new friends met through the rental business. We meet as many of the visitors as we can (not always there) and are happy to give advice about what the area has to offer. We are a retired couple from the north of England and Scotland, and the people in the photo are our children and grandchildren, all of whom share our passion for cycling

The property is situated in a very attractive hamlet, but all necessary facilities are near enough to reach on foot, or by bike. The area is extremely rich in historical sites as well as beautiful nature, and provision for tourists, but is much less developed and less busy than other coastal areas of France.
The hamlet is lively in summer with a variety of local festivals, markets and entertainments. The restaurants and cafes along the canal bank are particularly attractive and only a few minutes walk from the apartment.
Thanks for the use of the apartment in Le Somail. We had a great time tho' the weather during the first week wasn't too good. The second week made up for it. Having the pool and other facilities to ourselves was great. The apartment is very well equipped for an excellent holiday for a couple. The bikes were a bonus with the flat land all around.
£50 security deposit. Bicycles £12 or15 euros per bike per holiday. 10% discount on rental of 2 or more weeks . Heating include in low season. Apartment to be vacated clean.
Just back from a very enjoyable holiday in Le Somail. We loved the airy apartment, which is comfortable and very clean, and the garden and pool which provided plenty of relaxation. The little village of Le Somail is charming, with three restaurants and a 'grocery shop' barge, and there are plenty of small villages to see in the area. Use the bikes to ride along the canal and visit the wineries in the area! Strongly recommended
Set in a peaceful village yet close to ameneties. The apartments were as described, clean and well maintined. The spacious patio and generous sized swimming pool were a great bonus.
