Lovely accommodation in a peaceful spot
We enjoyed our stay at Ingrid and Steve’s little cottage in their back garden. They were friendly and welcoming and were happy to post me a card I left behind. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well-equipped and the cottage is a short walk to the beach. We’d stay again!

About the host

Host profile image
Steve and Ingrid Cable: We live in the main house separate from the Cabin located in back garden. Ingrid was born in Sri Lanka and came to Western Australia as a toddler with family. Steve born in Perth. We married and lived in Exmouth, for 10 years where our 3 children were born. Lived in Karratha for 20 years where our children went through Karratha Senior High School. Steve went from teaching at the High School to work with Woodside Petroleum as an Onshore Operator. We decided to semi retire in Kalbarri, Western Australia. Steve is heavily involved as the volunteer manager of Kalbarri Emergency Services. Ingrid is enjoying family visits and grandchildren and all Kalbarri has to offer.

Why they chose this property

We bought our home in Kalbarri and decided to make it a holiday home for ourselves and others while we lived in Karratha. After 3 years we moved to live in our Kalbarri home. Soon after moving from Karratha in 2016, we decided that doing Bed and Breakfast in Kalbarri would be fun, so we did and we've enjoyed meeting people from all over the world ever since.
