Nestled in 26 acres of secluded native forest, the 'little cabin' style architecturally designed Studios are superbly appointed with careful attention to all the details that make for a truly relaxing escape. THE STUDIOS

Window On The Otways is wonderful place to restore, relax, unwind and nourish while soaking up the peace of the bush in luxurious comfort. The two architecturally designed, open plan, cantilever Studios look out over the breathtaking Otways forest, and offer a place of calm and tranquility from which to enjoy the delights of the area.

Sit on the balcony at night and gaze at millions of stars shining in the way they only can away from the City, while frog song fills the air. Snuggle by the fire or in the deep double spa with candles and huge windows looking across the valley. Wake in a cosy bed to the beautiful chorus of forest birds and gentle morning light filling the sensational views. Stay in bed with a cuppa and watch as the forest breathes, and clouds move across the horizon. Or head out to explore the many extraordinary offerings of the Otways region, returning to your own private sanctuary.

The Studios are set well away from each other to ensure your privacy.

The Studios are fully self-contained with their own driveway and car park, double spa, wood-fire, LCD TV and DVD, reverse cycle air-conditioning, dishwasher, microwave, BBQ, fluffy robes, contemporary linen bedding, cosy blankets, natural body care products, essential oils, candles and many extras to make your stay relaxing, restorative and memorable. Access is via digital lock and the code will be sent to you prior to your arrival to ensure your complete privacy.

The Studios are well stocked with a pantry of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, muesli, and carefully selected generous complimentary extras including local free range eggs and bacon, La Madre sourdough bread, Otways jam, pancake mix, organic butter and milk.

A range of beautiful Sukin Organic body care products are provided for your use and nurturing - including body wash, shampoo, conditioner, facial cleaners and moisturizer.

LOCATION

Window On The Otways is in the stunning Pennyroyal Valley on the edge of the Great Otway National Park in the Surf Coast Hinterland. It is a leisurely 15 minute drive through beautiful forest to the vibrant coastal resort town of Lorne and the iconic Great Ocean Road.

BUSHLAND DELIGHTS

The Otways are a treasure trove of natural delights. From beautiful native vegetation to abundant wildlife there is so much to be seen from the comfort of your Studio. At dawn and dusk kangaroos and wallabies often come to feed nearby, eagles soar overhead daily, while koalas and echidnas are frequent through harder to spot visitors. Tiny protected native 'chocolate' bats often shelter in the eaves of the Studios and at dusk fly with much delight. Watch the sky change with the sun rise and set from the balcony (or bath!), the morning mists rise in the valley below, rainbows arc brightly across the forest, and the moon turn everything to silver when it is full. Be mesmerized by the incredible magnitude of the stars in the sky away from city lights. Listen to the songs of the forest, far away from traffic noise. Soak up the kind of relaxation only nature can provide.

There are a large number of wonderful waterfall, rainforest and coastal walks in the area, a copy of Walking The Otways is in each Studio for your reference.

PRIVATE FOREST

The 26 acres of bushland on which Window On The Otways is built, is private forest managed for conservation purposes. It is bushland of environmental significance and part of a large water catchment area. The property is owned and managed by our small family. We are dedicated to the protection, rehabilitation and restoration of this precious once logged forest. We plant hundreds of native trees and shrubs every year, work hard to remove weeds and fix erosion, and provide natural habitat for endemic species. We live here full time and deeply love this forest. We hope you will love it too.

COVIDSAFE OPERATION
• We operate a no-contact and completely socially distanced business
• Studios are deep cleaned between bookings – fresh aired, hepa vacuumed, linens hot washed, and all surfaces (including kitchen, bathroom and bedroom walls, switches, handles, and aircon filters) fully disinfected between guests. We use highly effective and eco-sensitive cleaning products by Method, Organic Choice, and TriNature

For your added security, this property is only managed in Australia and we never request payments be made to overseas bank accounts. We are a small family offering boutique bushland accommodation in an area that we love and live in ourselves.

A cozy rainy weekend
This property is lovely, everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. Although the weather was not ideal, windows on the otways was the perfect place to hunker down and watch the rain and mists over the forest. The owners were very helpful, bringing us extra firewood when we asked. Thankyou Claire and Adam

Romantic getaway in the trees
We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at this beautiful property. We had no choice but to relax and soak up the incredible nature that surrounded us. The host Claire, could not have been more thoughtful in her communication and all of the little extras that awaited us in the cabin, from bath salts to essential oils and beautiful local produce for breakfast, we felt thoroughly spoilt. Thank you Claire for a wonderful stay :)

A Nice Way To Wake Up
The property was lovely, cosy, clean and had magnificent views over the forest. We were woken up with the view of the misty morning, half a dozen wallabies grazing just outside the bedroom window. The bed was really comfortable, generous supplies of kitchen and bathroom amenities...... very happy.
