Hello GUEST
We expect you around 5-6 PM but if this is not correct and you come later , let us know before your arrival. We live next door with our 12 year old who goes to sleep at 8:30 PM , which means we will be upstairs and won't hear any knocking . We live on N.6th Street near the Princess St. intersection and the house is colored pale rose. Your entrance is on the left . Please call us 30 minutes before arrival so that we can arrange to meet you and give you the keys .The Doorknob in front is historic and decorative, please use Metal handle to push door open and be gentle with the old doors.
Now about the place.....You have a functioning kitchen with glasses and cups for all beverages, a coffee machine with filters and grinder plus toaster and a working oven . Recycling and trash pickup is early on Monday morning so we will let you know when we pull all the receptacles to the street . Let us know if you need another bag .Please put all TRASH out on sunday evening
Linens and towels are all there with soap but you will need Shampoo if ours is wrong for you, shower gel and more toilet paper.
The 2 toilets use Eco-Flush so please hold handle 3 seconds when you flush.

You have 2 bedrooms upstairs , both with queen beds plus a sunroom in the back with a doublebed . The Sunroom is accessible through the second bedroom but all the rooms have doors for privacy. There is a Shower and bathroom upstairs. There is also a fully equipped laundryroom. Laundry detergent is ultra concentrated so please fill cap up to line 2 for each load. When using dryer, please put on LOW HEAT, HIGH does not work .Extra blankets and towels . Access to upper floor is by spiral staircase from living room and by a straight stairwell from back porch leading to second bedroom upstairs. All switches and pullchains control light and fans .
Downstairs is a queen sofa bed with the sheets and pillows in the 2 grey ottoman, a bathroom with tub and shower.Have beach towels if you do go to Wrightsville Beach or buy them because all the house towels are only for showering in the house.
Any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us ......a lot to read uh.

Lovely home with great location.
We really enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and the owners very accommodating. We brought our 2 dogs and enjoyed walking to downtown and along the river. Would stay here again.

Working visit
Wonderful visit. Great location in quiet historic neighborhood was perfect spot to rest while working each day on my son’s house. The home is packed full of classic historic charm and hosts were great. Walked to downtown eateries.

Nice home base for the marathon
This was just what we needed, looking for a convenient place in Wilmington to stay with our dogs. Important to read the listing-the house has a metal spiral staircase inside (but exterior normal stairs outside-which works for the dogs). My one dog went up the metal staircase once, but it took him 10 minutes with lots of encouragement so I figured the outside stairs were fine the rest of the stay. The house is older with a mix of decor-but very clean and everything worked great (electric/plumbing/tv/wifi). I was a little worried about parking but we had 2 cars and were able to park reasonably close. The property managers live next door and were very friendly. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Why they chose this property

We absolutely love our neighborhood. Stroll around the streets nearby and admire the beautiful historic homes, such as the Bellamy Mansion which is just around the corner. Walk six blocks to the Riverfront walk and five blocks to the restaurants on Front Streets. We love to eat at Le Bistro Caprice on Market and Water St or PinPoint right on Market between 2nd & Front St.. You'll also find cool places even closer that Amy has listed inside the unit' kitchen . On 4th and Walnut is Flytrap Brewery where there's usually some live music on the weekends and a local food truck. Head south on 6th St., and you land on Castle St. in the heart of the Antiques district. Among the boutiques, you can find Jester's Java for delicious lunch or brunch and Luna Caffe if you just want to take a break and plan your next stop. Also on the south side on 2nd and Orange is the Children's Museum and a few blocks further is Greenfield Lake park, where you can rent paddle boats, canoes and kayaks or just let the kids run around the playground.

What makes this property unique

How many 4000 + sq.foot Historic District homes with a quarter acre backyard can you find in Downtown Wilmington ? Answer : four. Our rarity makes us unique .
