A lovely spot to rest with plenty of room.
This is a large restful property in a lovely peaceful setting with a great pool, deep enough for diving at one end. It is close to Mottola which has supermarkets, as tourist information office and some excellent eateries. ( Try the Pizzaria in the town centre. It's excellent). We had a very restful family time at this traditional villa. Peppino, the caretaker was an absolute star, and always very helpful and clear, despite having to communicate with us via a translator app. The many rooms are well prepared by Dominica, the housekeeper, and we really enjoyed her home made cheeses too. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and bedding, and the villa's kitchen is well equipped. Both she and Peppino were there to greet us and very welcoming. The only drawbacks were that the place is somewhat tired , and would benefit from attention to the quirky electrics. Also the water is lovely and hot in the showers, but in some the water pressure is pretty weak. When you first arrive it's a little difficult to find the back entrance, which you have to drive into to reach the property. Tip: It's very soon after the first 'road hump' sign on the road from Mottola to Noci, just after the white gates of another property. By the way, currently the cot is not available (Sept 2022), so take a travel cot if you have an infant. The nearby beaches are fantastic, the little 'white' trulli towns most picturesque, and the pine forests great for a shady stroll. The Grottes at Castelaneta are well worth a visit too. We very much enjoyed our week at La Torre.

Great location
A great location to explore the region. Wonderful winery tour, beach visits, and seeing Matera and Ostuni. We got a taxi from Bari to mottola and used La dolce vita Noleggio Auto for our car hire. They were so helpful, even showed us the way to La Torre, and recommended local restaurants and a gelateria, both worth the visit. La Torre could do with a little TLC. The house, gardens and pool are all brilliant, but the beds are not the most comfortable and the fans in the upstairs bedrooms are very clunky and noisy. I did, however, live the rustic feel to the place, and Pepino deserves a mention for his efforts in getting us into the property and sorting out a problem that arose with the wifi

Amazing pool
A family holiday for 10 in a fantastic villa. Very spacious with great facilities and furnishings. Absolutely amazing pool which we spent loads of time in.Table tennis table was also well used. Very attentive and helpful owner who responded almost instantly to our messages. Mottola itself is a beautiful unspoilt small hillside town with a weekly market. Overall a memorable holiday in a fabulous location

Beautiful holiday home, amazing place to stay
We have had the most incredible two weeks in Puglia, staying at this fantastic property. Le Torre is a beautiful old property with so much space for the 8 of us. The rooms are well appointed and the pool and outdoor area are incredible. The pool is the largest we have ever had the fortune to use in a holiday home. The children loved exploring the gardens, relaxing on hammocks and play area. We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival and continued to be visited by Peppino ensuring our comfort and needs were met throughout our stay. Close to Mottola, it is a 30 minute walk into town or 10 minutes in a car. The house is also well located to explore this lovely region of Italy. I cannot recommend this property enough, we are sorry to leave and hope that in the future we can visit again. Thank you

I currently live in Rome. The Villa is my holiday paradise

Why they chose this property

The property holds a lot of memories for the family. It has been used as a barn (1888), a house and for the relatively recent years (last 40 years) as holiday villa. All the gardens, pool area and house extensions have been constructed with a lot of care and devotion. We have transformed the arid landscape of the region into a small oasis. Many of the summer memories of the family rely on this beautiful piece of land. We hope our guest enjoy it as much as we hope to pass it on to our next generation of the Sansonetti family.

What makes this property unique

The house has a unusual architecture and a deep family history. The pool area and gardens have a very romantic setting. Many local brides and grooms have posed for their wedding pictures in our villa
