This superb 3 bedroom Marina de la Duquesa apartment is south facing and as such enjoys the sunshine throughout the day.The property enjoys a wonderful location within this sought after holiday resort due to its stunning views across the communal pools and garden and to the beach and Mediterranean sea. The property is very well furnished and provides a lovely home from home atmosphere making your stay very enjoyable and comfortable. The apartment has hot and cold air conditioning and a TV and DVD player ( please note due to recent changes free to air TV is no longer available in Spain). All rooms are a good size and the property is modern and spacious. Marina de la Duquesa is a very desirable and attractive holiday resort for everyone due to its superior facilities and unbeatable location by Puerto de la Duquesa marina and Sabinillas town. Resort facilities include 4 swimming pools, Padel tennis courts, Sauna, Games room, Gym, 24hr security, beachfront access and underground parking. This property is highly recommended for those looking for a beach holiday and wanting to be within easy walking distance to all amenities. In this property only there is also a travel cot and cot linen provided at no additional charge.

Resort facilities - Marina de la Duquesa is a wonderful resort development in the heart of Puerto Duquesa. Resort facilities include numerous swimming pools, spacious gardens, Paddle Tennis (racquets not provided), gym, sauna and games room. The resort is gated and has 24 hour security.

Beach - Marina de la Duquesa is a beach front resort. The beach is a blue flag beach which is a leader in European health, safety and beach facilities. There is a wide choice of chiringuito beach bars serving fresh seafood, cold beer and sangria. Some beach bars have sunloungers and sun shades for its clients and watersport facilities(not including jetskis).

Golf - The nearest golf course is La Duquesa Golf which is approximately a 3 minute car drive away. Exceptional courses including Valderama, La Reserva, Almenara, Sotogrande, Dona Julia and Finca Cortesin are all within a 20 minute car drive.

Bars, Restaurants & Shops - Puerto Duquesa marina is a 2 minute walk away. There are over 30 restaurant and bar options ranging from excellent international cuisine to pub food to take aways. This wonderful marina is a lively and welcoming place to be both day and night and is a wonderful setting to enjoy your holiday. The closest seaside resort of Sabinillas is only a 10 minute walk away. Here you will find all the amenities of a town and an abundance of traditonal spanish restaurants and tapas bars.

Travel - There is a bus stop and taxi rank within walking distance of the property. There is easy access to the dual carriage way which runs along the Costa del Sol.

Car Hire - Car hire is not essential as all amenities are within a short and flat walking distance.

Children - This is a very family friendly resort due to its 4 large swimming pools, 24hr security, facilities and central location. The apartment is located on the third floor and has waist height railings on the balcony. In this property only there is also a travel cot and cot linen provided at no additional charge.

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed staying at your apartment. We found it very comfortable and well furnished and it was in a great position within the complex for the “sun”. Our party consisted of myself and my wife, my Sister-in-Law and my 94 year old Mother-in-Law. We were visiting other members of the family in Duquesa as my God Daughter was being confirmed on the Sunday. We were all delighted with the apartment.

Outdoors - There is a spacious south facing terrace where you can relax and enjoy the stunning beach and sea views in the sunshine. The terrace is furnished with a dining table and 4 chairs and also enjoys views to the pools and gardens. Parking - There is underground parking for 1 car and lift access to the apartment level. Cleaning, Maid service, Linen and Towel - The property will be cleaned before and after your stay only unless additional cleans and change of linen are requested by you at the time of booking. All linen and towels are provided (including tea towels). Pool towels are not provided and it is essential that clients bring their own towels for this purpose.

Lovely apartment in great location

The apartment was really close to the marina which was really useful at night as getting home was only a 5 minute walk. The apartment was really clean and modern with a lovely sea view balcony. It was well equipped and included utility room with laundry facilities. The owner was really friendly and very quick with responses to queries etc. We hired a car from the airport so we could travel up and down the coast more easily. Gibraltar was about 40 mins away and Marbella about 30 mins in the other direction. There is a great selection of bars and restaurants in the Marina, ranging from quiet restaurants to lively music bars. The village of Sabinillas is around 10 mins walk along the coast and is a great place to explore the local cuisine and culture This is my third visit with friends and would highly recommend the resort

South facing, spacious, well equipped apartment

This apartment is a good size and the kitchen has everything you need. Being south facing the balcony was a wonderful sun trap. The 4 pools looked lovely and clean but were very cold and you needed to be a brave person to enter! At this time of year there was never any lifeguards present although that was not an issue for us.

The location of the complex is perfect, pool, and sea view and a short walk to many bars and restaurants.

I do agree with the previous review in that it would have been helpful to have some information about the complex, finding the bins etc.

The biggest disappointment (particularly for our teenager and his friend) was that the apartment did not have any internet access. We did manage to hire a router from the town but the apartment is advertised as having internet. Also we didn't get advised of the basement garage parking space but parking outside was never a problem anyhow.

Overall this is a great apartment in a lovely holiday destination and the owner kindly extended the check out time on the day that we left.

Great apartment in a great location

We just returned from our stay here and have had an amazing time! The apartment is well equipped and a good size in a large apartment complex, the balcony is the perfect size with comfortable seats and any time not spent in the pool was spent here with a sangria or two! The 4 pools were fantastic and we spent the majority of our time in them with the kids practising their diving and bombing. My only gripe with the pool would be the limited inflatables time which the kids found a bit disappointing (none between the official pool hours of 11.30am and 7.30pm that are supervised by lifeguards, swimming outside these hours is at own risk but is allowed and anything goes). The location of the complex is idyllic, a sea view and a short walk to many restaurants. The beach is a coarse sand/shingle with a few calm bays for swimming, be warned though buy a parasol as there is zero shade at the beach! On route to the apartment, there is a Lidl which kept costs low for the meals that we did self cater with a fresh fish and meat counter inside selling gorgeous prawns. One thing that is needed is a little welcome pack with the do's and dont's of the complex, took us a while to find the bins and a map of the complex would be really useful as every block looks the same so its easy to get lost, and we spent 30 mins wandering aimlessly around the basement garage looking for the allocated parking spot! Wouldnt hesitate to book this apartment again, La Duquesa is my new favourite holiday destination!
