3 Bedroom Villa Sleeps 10 plus cot. Peaceful unspoilt location mins from beach
Villa Peace, a traditional Dalmatian stone house is within a small hamlet, a former fisherman’s village, which, from its elevated position, commands superb views over the seaside village of Viganj, the Adriatic and the island of Korcula opposite. Historically, from this position, families could catch the first glimpse of their fishermen returning and be at the seaside in minutes to greet them.
The family owned villa has been completely restored to its original design externally, and internally has been renovated and modernised throughout. It provides accommodation over 3 floors, has 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fitted kitchen, open plan dining and lounge area, with 2 double sleeper couches. (If you want to take friends with you ... it can sleep 10!) And there's a travel cot too.
In summary: A traditional Dalmation house, a comfortable home in a rare, unspoilt and peaceful location, minutes from the beach, restaurants and local facilities.

(Hi This is the owner Lindsey, typing in some reviews from the Guest Book at Villa Peace - check them out when you get there!)
We stayed out of season, loved the house it had all we needed. We had fantastic weather and recommend:
- visit to Korcula: just idylllic
- Mali Ston: a pretty place, lovely oysters and seafood
- we ate at Konoba Forte a number of times and were even invited back to the owners parents' house to see (and sample) their wine cellar!
- Bars Karmela and Montun also highly recommended - owners were very hospitable and welcoming.

Just spent a wonderful week at Villa Peace in Viganj with my children. We found Sandra the housekeeper very helpful and friendly, the house clean and very well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed strolling down to spend each day at the seaside .. as well as the sundowners at Bar Montun and relaxed barbecues in the evenings. Highlights probably include taking the ferry to Korcula for the day, the day trip to Split and brushing up on our windsurfing skills :-)
Tucked away from it all!
Villa Peace is tucked away in a small hamlet about 5 minutes walk up from the sea. The two bedrooms on the top floor, both with twin beds, shared a bathroom and a double bedroom downstairs had it's own shower room and private outside area. There were also sofa beds in the living area but we did not use them. The villa was well maintained and equipped with all the basics. Outside, the terrace got the sun in the morning where there was a table, chairs and BBQ.
Viganj in May was quiet and peaceful. Evenings were cool but by the end of the week the weather was getting hotting up and the bars and bistros getting ready for the season! We found Bar Montun, a five minute walk away, good value for money - the owner Ivan was very friendly and knowledgeable. The supermarket was less than 10 minutes walk as was the ferry to Korcula (only 15 minutes crossing and well worth it!).
Great location for exploring the peninsula - we hired a car but only used it for the transfer to and from the airport and one day exploring - the rest of the time we walked. Bikes and water sport equipment was available for hire all within walking distance.
A really enjoyable holiday was had by my family at this lovely villa. As it says its about 300m from the sea itself, but that was actually pleasant as it is quieter nd also cooler.
It only took ten minutes to walk down and also the walk brings you out by Bar Montun which is a great bar run by a fount of local knowledge called Ivan.
We also went walking up in the hills and up to the local restaurant behind the villa which is a must do!
The Villa was clean and spacious and well fitted out, and the owner was most helpful in any questions we had prior to departure.
Great location - friendly people and very relaxing
We had a wonderful week at Villa Peace!! Can recommend to anyone looking for a get away from it all time - in lovely surroundings and very comfortable accommodation. Thank you !!!
Peace at Villa Peace!
Where to start? Fantastic holiday, begun with Sandra the lovely "meet and greet lady" with her welcome package and local insights.
Fantastic views from the little hamlet (Villa Peace is one of five restored houses in the hamlet) with a short stroll down to the sea (with a couple of bars and restaurants) or a 2 minute stroll up to an excellent typical Dalmatian restaurant on the hill, behind the villa.
Our family enjoyed playing on local clean beaches with gin clear water. The house had all that we needed, even for our evening barbecues on the front terrace (have I already mentioned the views?)
The villa was quiet (afternoon siestas - aaah) but close enough to amenities when we wanted them.
We will return, both to the area and this villa in particular.
The location of Villa Peace is lovely. In a small hamlet 300m from the sea you have good views as well as peace and quiet. It is only a 300m walk to the sea and also to the local hub of Bar Montun with friendly owner Ivan and his family providing food and drinks all day and night.
In the other direction of the property is the mountain and great walks. Also probably 400m this way is a fantastic local restaurant which is worthwhile booking in and advance ordering the loacl 'meat under the bell' which they have to cook in advance - its great.
The villa was clean, tidy and well maintained, a great spot for a wonderful holiday
