Luxurious traditional Country Villa in Ceglie near Ostuni w/Pool, Tennis /Sport

Updated: 18-Apr-2016
4 bedrooms, 4 bathroom, sleeps 8

Casa Campagnola is an expertly restored in 2008, luxurious three bedroom, two bathroom stone villa in the Puglian countryside. The house is set in 3 hectare of olive grove and fruit trees. It offers an idyllic country setting with privacy and tranquility. Several charming terraces, great for relaxing, overlook the 6 x 11 m pool, ideal for cooling off during the hot summer months. There is an additional guest unit (sleeps two) plus ensuite bathroom w a big shower. The property includes an enclosed multi-sport area, ideal for families with children, or sport enthusiasts interested to play soccer, volleyball, badminton, bocce or tennis. Stadium lighting makes it not only possible to play at night, but gives it a unique experience. The hidden secret is the newly built very large outdoor fully equipped kitchen w pizza oven, BBQ, making outdoor dining (poolside) comfortable and enjoyable. Both the main house, and separate guest unit have air conditioning, needed during the summer. There is a wireless LAN connection both indoors and outdoors allowing you internet access even while lounging at the pool.

Casa Campagnola is located right at the edge of the Itria valley. The towns of Ceglie Messapica, Martina Franca, Cisternino, and Ostuni can all be reached in about 20 minutes.

Ostuni has many interesting churches and buildings. Martina Franca also has a wonderful, historic centre. During July and August there is a famous music festival in Martina Franca and classical music is played in the piazzas and the Palazzo Ducale. Visit the capital of the trulli towns, Alberobello which has over 400 trulli in the historic centre. This is good for shopping, many of the shops also offer free wine tasting.

Ostuni is an ancient, hilltop village, well known for its whitewashed houses that contrast with the brown stone of the monuments. If you walk through its narrow alleyways you will discover many beautiful churches and buildings. Near Fasano there are Roman, archaeological ruins at Egnazia.

Locorotondo, a delightful, small town. The area is famous for wine production and there are “Cantine” which you can visit. Find out from the tourist office regarding opening hours.

Nice beaches can be found in the area at Pilone and and Costa Merlata. During the summer months, there are some wonderful beach restaurants serving freshly cooked seafood.

If you enjoy walking and beautiful coastal walks, then there is a protected nature reserve called Torre Guaceto, along the coast just north of Brindisi. Go to the central information office where you can park and find information on trails. They also organise guided walks, cycling trips and guided snorkelling. Don’t miss the stunning baroque town of Lecce. Here you will find many beautiful, piazzas , stunning architecture and an incredible amount of history. There are even the remains of a Roman amphitheatre in the heart of the town. It is possible to spend a whole day in Lecce. Going further south, visit the beautiful fishing port of Otranto, one of the first Greek colonies in Italy in the thirteenth century. Otranto is also famous for its wonderful beaches and clear waters.

Belle et agréable villa !

  • 4 of 5
