Spoilt by inaccurate and misleading info

The positives: great, riverside location with proximity to O2 and transport. Clean, modern apartment. The negatives: Unfortunately, the photographs displayed on Owners Direct are NOT photographs of the apartment offered. Whilst they are similar, it is misleading to present them as photo's of the advertised property. In addition, other than the riverside location, there is nothing else that justified the description of luxurious. After asking the owners several times to justify the term "luxurious", they could only note the location. Here's our experience: modern but budget furniture (mostly Ikea); ripped, plastic sofas; no dining furniture in lounge/diner; non-matching (budget) cutlery; insufficient bedding; chipped crockery; no patio furniture; no access to rear patio; bare bulbs hanging from ceiling (no light fittings/shades); lack of "luxury" items in kitchen; no wardrobe or hanging space in 3rd bedroom; lack of shaver socket in bathrooms; no waste bins other than kitchen & bathroom; no radio; no TV in kitchen or bedrooms; no welcome pack; no equipment instructions (e.g. washing machine). And more. All of the above would not be a problem if that is what you were expecting to get for your money. However, at the time of booking and at the time of writing this review, the property was/is clearly being marketed as a "luxurious" apartment. Whilst I accept that the property is not rated by any official organisation, if you compare the standard with those published by tourism standards organisations, the apartment does not even reach 3 stars in some areas and misses most of the 4 and 5 star requirements. So hardly "luxurious". Six weeks ago, the owners said that they would revise the property description to make it more accurate. I waited six weeks to see the outcome before posting my review. Unfortunately, the property is still not described accurately and the photographs are NOT of the apartment on offer.

Perfect apartment for family of six!

We are a family of six with four teenage boys. We found the 3 bedroom apartment to be perfect for our needs, with sleeping space for everyone, a full kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, and two full bathrooms, one with tub and one with shower. We were able to pick up food for breakfast and late night snacks at the nearby grocery store and enjoyed our daily walk along the Thames to the O2 tube station into London. While this is not the most central location for touring London, the efficiency of the tube made it easy to travel back and forth. The apartment was relatively new and very clean and well-maintained.

Herrliche Lage der Wohnung. Guter Zustand der Wohnung, sauber, gepflegt. Angaben sind korrekt.

Ausstattung ausreichend.

Vor der Anreise und bei der Einweisung vom Vermieter bestens und freundlich betreut.

Von hier aus sind alle Unternehmungen in London bestens möglich.

Wohnung ist zu empfehlen.

AK in Greenwich

Townhouse, directly located on the River Thames, close to the O2 Arena in London - Greenwich.

We stayed at the Townhouse with 5 people, three kids and two adults. The house is of modern architecture and located. The house is divided in three levels. Kitchen and a bedroom for kids and a small bathroom are on the ground floor. Living room with a big LCD TV/DVD player and a bigger bathroom is on the second floor. Two bedrooms with a nice view to the London barrier and to the river Thames are on the third floor.

The house is well equipped and of modern design.

The house can easily be reached by public transportation in combination with a short walk.

The communication with the landlord was perfect and everything was arranged well.

Due to the three levels, you have to accept stairs and some ups and downs, which supports your personal fitness.

All in all: Five stars!!

This apartment is located in London’s Greenwich Peninsula (Central London, Zone 2). The nearest underground station is North Greenwich on the Jubilee Line (an easy and safe 8 minutes walk or one stop by bus from the apartment). Nearby Historic Greenwich is one of the most popular areas of London (visit www.greenwichwhs.org.uk for information on the area).

The location is perfect for exploring all of London's attractions - only 15 minutes to the very centre of London (Westminster) direct by underground.
