Enjoy a memorable holiday - cozy, comfortable and central, river breezes, in the historic centre of Lisbon... Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world, predating other modern European capitals such as London, Paris and Rome by hundreds of years. Julius Caesar made it a municipium called Felicitas Julia, adding to the name Olissipo. We offer a fabulous apartment in the gorgeous Baixa Pombalina (Baixa-Chiado) (city centre Lisbon). Charming building built in the late 1800s, recently upgraded and fully remodeled with an elevator/lift.

The apartment features 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, sleeping a maximum of 5 people. It features all new furniture and appliances, contemporary decor, hypoallergenic microfiber duvets/comforters, luxury cotton linen, central heating, free cable/ wifi and a balcony offering striking views of the city. The entire apartment sunbaths sunrise-to-sundown (~ 300 days per year). Each room can be configured to 2 twin beds or one king bed. Sofa + portable crib (for a child up to 4 years old). Childproof locks in all windows and doors. Baby bedding/children toys available upon request. Close proximity to key historic sights in Lisbon will enable you to discover the city on foot - Moorish Castle/Alfama 10min walk; Elevador de Santa Justa, within a 2 min walk, Praça do Comercio/Praça da Figueira/ Rossio within 3-5 min; Bairro Alto 15-20min. Iconic N28 tram is 2 blocks away. 3 subway/tube stations within 5 min, train to beaches (Estoril)/ fishing village of Cascais 15min walk (Cais do Sodre), train to delightful Sintra within 5 min (Rossio) and boat rides to cross the Tagus/Tejo river within 5 min (Caparica beaches and wonderful fish/shellfish dinning in the local restaurants).

Direct airport transfer bus stops 1 block away. Multitude of restaurants and shops right outside.

Running/jogging- try the river front with the iconic Cais das Colunas in Praça do Comercio (5 min away), jog in river front till Algés or as far as you feel like.

Night out: walk to Alfama 5 min, enjoy our world renown Portuguese food, enjoy lively bars/pubs and live Fado performances. If you prefer Bairro Alto (10 min in the opposite direction), a multitude of gentrified filled bars, restaurants and theaters will satisfy every taste.

Location, location, location

Location of this super clean, cozy and confortable apartment is perfect! It’s near dozens of restaurants, shops, minimarkets, bus and metro stations. It is very well equiped with all sorts of kitchenware, confortable beds and high speed Wi-Fi. We highly recommend it !

Great location, great apartment. Stay here!

This was by far the best equipped and supplied VRBO apartment we have rented (and we have stayed in a lot of them). The location is superb--right in the middle of the old town a couple of blocks from the metro and and waterfront. Restaurants abound (although you will be hounded by them on the main streets). Go up the smaller streets for good food in quiet venues. Everything worked and was up to date. There are several small grocery stores nearby for stocking the kitchen (although the basics were already there). As for Lisbon, the main tourist sites recommended in the guide books are very crowded with long lines. Seek out the lesser places and be flexible. There is a lot to see and do without seeing the nth cathedral, castle or cloister. When we left, we stepped out of the apartment and hailed a taxi almost immediately. To or from the airport is under 15 euros.

Comfortable , secure, well- located apartment with an elevator!

This is a comfortable, spotless, secure, well-presented apartment on 4th floor serviced by an elevator. Although there are some very hilly areas of Lisbon, David’s apartment is in a flat area within easy walking to restaurants, supermarkets and public transport. Kitchen is compact with everything except you need to bring detergent for washing machine and dishwasher though. Bedrooms roomy with comfortable beds and plenty of storage. Maybe the only downside is shower is over the bath. Thankyou to Mrs Rato for her prompt attendance at arranged check-in and check-out. We enjoyed our stay in your apartment David., thankyou.

Sunny, lovely apartment in wonderful, central location

What can I say about this wonderful apartment that hasn't already been said by other posters? This apartment is a gem!

- Location is central. Easy walk to restaurants, public transportation, trains, grocery, etc.

- Apartment is sunny and comfortable

- Kitchen is nicely outfitted

- Heat was welcome on the cold, rainy days

- Despite central location, the apartment was surprisingly quiet

Some tips:

- Bring some foil to line the glass pans for easier cleanup.

- Bring some dishwasher tabs and laundry detergent tabs (HE) so you can do laundry. The apartment had a couple of dishwasher tabs, but if you do a lot of cooking it is convenient to have more.

- From the airport, take the Aerobus -- it stops a couple of blocks away and is cheap and convenient.

Excellent apartment in very central location

We loved this apartment - so well equipped with everything you might need. The beds were comfortable and the apartment is generally very well furnished and spotlessly clean. Mrs Rato was there to greet us at the time we arranged and also arrived promptly for check-out. The location is perfect with shops and restaurants close by. We would highly recommend this apartment.

Por segunda vez en el apartamento de David, me senti como en casa. Como su publicidad lo dice es elegante, luminoso, comodo, totalmente equipado, y es la mejor ubicacion para conocer la ciudad: cerca de los puntos centrales y medios de transporte. Ilda fue de gran ayuda y orientacion. Insuperable!
