Our nice and sunny apartment is located on the Pest side, in the sixth district, near to Liszt Ferenc sq and Oktogon sq. Fully furnished and equipped with washing machine, refrigerator, freezer, cable, TV, Internet /Wireless /AC /Travel Baby bed on a silent street, close to metro, tram, night bus.

The apartment is located on the 4th floor of an elegant, stylish building with elevator, which has been renovated inside and out recently. Kitchen is fully equipped, bathroom is newly renovated (June 2018) with spa shower. Two minutes from bus/tram/metro station, or two minutes on foot with fitness center, post office, shops, church etc. (for the urgent demand you find three 24/7 shops some walking minutes away).

The beautifully furnished apartment is conveniently located in downtown Budapest within walking distance to the world-famous Budapest State Opera House and the Franz Liszt (square) Music Academy. Convenient to many of Budapest's great restaurants, museums, theatres, Saint Stephen Basilica and Parliament buildings to name just a few...

From 1 September 2013 a new Taxi Decree was introduced in Hungary regulating the price* of the taxis at a fixed tariff in addition to the one-off basic fee and waiting fee. A ride from the Airport to the city center should typically cost as of May 2022 around Base tarif: 1000 HUF/km , and 400 HUF/km (waiting time 100 HUF/min) depending on traffic conditions. Lift breakdown

Good things: the apartment is very clean. The mother of the owner is really nice. The apartment has many things, frying pans, crokery, pottery, etc. Bad things; fourth floor and lift did not work in the whole stay. The lift did not work when we booked the flat and the owner did not alert us. We asked for a compensation and the owner did not attend the request because she said it was not her responsibility. Fourth floor without lift should have other price. Attention! Ask for the lift before booking. Doorgate smells very bad due to the garbage containers.

Stay in Central Budapest

A compact very well equipped apartment, thoughtfully supplied with most things you might need except that if you want to use the washing machine then bring your own detergent. The apartment is very well situated in a quiet street but near to the Metro and bus stops and also a very good, reasonably priced, restaurant, Menza ( it’s very busy so best to book a table). Also very convenient for the Opera House and the Liszt Ferenc concert hall. To sum up, an excellent place to stay but probably best for a couple rather than more people.

Great location comfortable and welcoming

We had an excellent stay. The flat is located in a quiet street yet only two minutes from restaurants, bars and supermarkets. It’s a ten minute walk to the Danube iron bridge and ideal for sightseeing. The flat itself is well equipped for self catering if you prefer. The bed is comfortable, the air conditioning works well, and you can get English tv channels and WiFi. The welcome from Piroska and Alexandra was great providing information on restaurants, travel etc. So helpful. We had a lovely conversation with Piroska, using google translate when we got stuck. She has a good sense of humour and we laughed a lot. They are in the middle of adding things to the bathroom which is already a well equipped wet room. The shower screen will help with reducing the spray on the toilet and floor a minor issue. We will definitely book again if we visit Budapest.

Bright, well-equipped apartment in a convenient location

My husband travels to Budapest frequently and usually stays in a hotel. I travel with him occasionally, and this time we decided to look for an apartment so that we could do our own cooking and laundry. We wanted an apartment on a high floor near one of the metro lines. Alexandra’s apartment was perfect! It was great to have a home base after busy days. The apartment building is on a quiet street, but it’s very near to Andrassy Út, two metro stations, and a major tram line. Grocery shopping is nearby, as well as many restaurants and cafes. You can also easily use public transport to reach various tourist attractions in the city. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals. I was able to stock the kitchen with what I needed from nearby grocery stores and the city’s farmers’ markets. And, importantly, the cooking vent works very well--so the apartment doesn’t retain the smell of what you just cooked. We like to pack light, so having a washing machine was great. It was nice not having to use a hotel sink. I was able to do a small load or two every few days on a quick setting. The clothes dried quickly on a large drying rack. The apartment’s air conditioning worked very well. We were there in early spring but experienced some unusually hot days; the AC cooled the rooms very quickly. Our son was able to join us for a few days toward the end of our stay. He used the sofa bed, and it was comfortable (he’s 6’1”). On our first day, Alexandra’s wonderful mother met us at the apartment to explain how everything works. She was available via phone and email if we had any questions during our stay. And we thank her for coming so early to the apartment on our final day, as we had early flights. We’re happy to have found Alexandra’s apartment and look forward to returning!
