Great Place
Our family had a wedding locally and this river cabin had all we could need or desire for family fun and comfort. From kitchen to bath to tool closet, this cabin was well equipped. Beds were comfortable and we even caught fish! Thanks for the fun family time.

Sister's weekend
Lovely, quiet accommodations. Wonderful, understanding host who was very gracious when our arrival date was changed due to one sister's husband died and we had a funeral - host was sincere and generous in our time of grief. Only reason for accuracy 4 stars was that there is spiral staircase that can be difficult to navigate and that was not pictured or noted. This place was otherwise perfect for us and we would highly recommend!! Lovely surroundings and comfortable, cozy home. Thank you!

Great view
We really enjoyed our stay here! While it is in a neighborhood, it was very quiet. We enjoyed being able to use the dock for our boat. The kitchen had a good assortment of pots/pans/utensils and the grill worked well. Loved sitting on the top deck overlooking the river. I will say the chipmunks on the deck were fun to watch and kept our dog entertained from the living room windows ;) Hope to return! There is some great hiking in the state forest nearby and lots of things to do in Lansing and Prairie Du Chien. It rained a lot of our stay so did a bit of exploring.

About the host

We have vacationed in Harper's Ferry since the early 80's when I was a young girl. It was our solace and get away from our busy lives, looking at the river, the birds and nature. It was a quick walk to the dock for a boat ride for fishing, skiing, hitting a sand bar or just sight seeing. In the winter we would go sledding and tubing on some of the hills nearby. A quick drive to Lansing, Prairie du Chien or other towns, we were able to find something to do, eat or explore if we wanted to. Now we share these memories with our children, our extended families and friends, and we want others to share our cabin with others.

Why they chose this property

Our view and direct access is amazing. We have spent many hours watching birds, boats, stars and nature right in front of us. Its open floor plan allows for conversation and relaxation. It is steps away for fishing off the dock, even without a boat. And grilling while looking over the river- its amazing.

What makes this property unique

Amazing views, lots of outdoor space, and relaxing atmosphere. Family antiques, unique décor and other fun oddities are throughout the house. We have provided lots of games, indoor and outdoor, to have fun. Our cabin is designed to relax and unwind.
