Luxurious living ...: Luxurious living in a small yet world-renowned alpine village. The two-bedroom apartment is on the first floor of the 'Ancien Hotel du Globe', a completely renovated listed building finished to the highest standards. As featured in the Financial Times, 1st December 2007.

Contemporary comfort: The apartment benefits from under-floor central heating, fully-fitted Italian-made kitchen, designer Stark bathrooms with high quality marble/stone finishes, elegant walnut parquet floor, hand-made walnut wardrobes in bedrooms; three balconies, garage and cellar also included in price. It measures 72 square metres.

Nestling in the heart of the Chamonix Valley (one hour from Geneva airport) is the old village of Argentière. It is set in some of the most breathtaking scenery of the Alps, beneath the rugged peaks and glaciers of Les Grands Montets. Up until the early eighteenth century this picturesque valley was the home of a small farming community.

Great amenities: Today Argentière offers probably some of the most challenging skiing in the Alps. Expert skiers are drawn to this Mecca of off-piste skiing and boarding with its world famous couloirs and steep gullies of the Grands Montets providing the best challenges. There are also the gentle nursery slopes of Les Chosalets for beginners, with a number of excellent local ski schools, and the immaculately-groomed wide-open sunny nursery slopes in the old farming village of Le Tour. But Argentière is not only known for its excellent skiing resources. In fact, on the contrary, its mountaineering facilities are probably even more noteworthy and renowned. But the list doesn’t end there: from paragliding to bowls, from hang-gliding to golf, walking and mountain-biking – there is a vast array of activities on offer all year round.

Fabulous Place and Great Location

We had a really great stay here - fabulous self contained 2 bedroom apartment (with all the amenities you need) in the centre of Argentiere. Easy walking distance to really great restaurants, bars and the local supermarket. Also opposite the bus stop so you can easily get up the mountain to other ski reports (like Le Tour) which is just 7 minutes away and also opposite the train/ tram stop.

Beautiful apartment in the most Fantastic location

Family of four at this beautiful apartment with the location most convenient for everything you need - the train station SNCF is just across the street; the Chamonix Bus stop is just in front of the apartment and only 5-10 min walk to the nearest ski lift/cable car. You can easily mange without a car. We rented the car but we could really manage without it!!

Bakery and supermarket; tourist office and quite a few good restaurants are all in the village which are within easy walking distance including a few ski clothing shops and gift shops.

Argentiere is a very pretty village; much more pleasant and homely than the near by Chamonix. It was so perfect for us, we were able to travel to different places in the Chamonix Valley very conveniently. It was such a wonderful relaxing holiday for us. The weather was perfect - blue sky everyday and it was such a beautiful mountain scenery from both bedrooms.

The apartment is very comfortable; very well equipped for everyone. also of a very high standard.- just liked home to home. Highly recommended and we can`t wait to return. Than you, Matthew( the owner) who are most helpful and readily available if you need any help. Hope to be back very soon.

Great apartment

Modern well kept apartment. Comfortable lounge area, great kitchen and all utensils you need and the layout is great for quiet upstairs if you need it. There is also a washer and dryer. WiFi access with good connection.

I have stayed a few times in Chamonix and surrounds and I prefer Argentière. It is nice and quiet and a bit away from the hustle. The apartment is conveniently located right across from the train station which takes you into Chamonix city centre with the hospitality card. There is a supermarket, restaurants (from bar type food to full dinner), bakery, butchers, pharmacy - pretty much everything you need. And of course, for winter you are close to the ski lifts and buses.

The owner was very friendly and responded very quickly to any of my requests. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends too.

lovely home for family

It was a wonderful home for my family(4) trip to Chamonix Mont-Blanc. The home was very nice and lovely. The owner was away for vacation while I was staying there but the owner responded my emails right away whenever I emailed for any questions. The owner was very nice and responsible. I would stay at the home if I visit there again.
