Looking for an idyllic holiday break for two? My beautiful holiday home near the lovely, unspoiled village of Coverack, Cornwall, could be the answer. 180 degree views of sea, sky and coastline greet you from the wide south facing bay window in the bright sitting room and from the large balcony. The grounds lead down to a private sandy beach at low tide. The romantic, stylish south-facing apartment, which is on the first floor of a restored and converted Edwardian Hotel, has been completely refurnished. The living room and bedroom have uninterrupted southerly sea views and two doors open onto the balcony - perfect for breakfast. Offering, open-plan living in the comfortable sitting room which has a streamlined kitchen area with hob, oven, microwave, fridge, dish-washer, (ground floor laundry) and TV, DVD, Radio/CD, telephone, and free Wi-Fi Broadband. The shower room contains a strikingly modern hand basin, illuminated mirror, shower, shaver socket and heated towel rail.
The bedroom furniture includes a King Size bed with memory mattress, bedside tables, wall lights, mirrors, chest of drawers and radio/alarm clock etc. A full length wardrobe is situated in the hall next to the bedroom.
Double glazing and four electric storage heating make the cooler months cosy.
RECENT CHANGES: I have installed all new living room furniture including dining table and chairs, sofa and arm chair. New crockery, cutlery, cooking pans, (updated annually), dishwasher and toaster for the kitchen. The plumbing has been updated including a new Saniflo system and hot water pressure pump. Additionally most of the bed linen is replaced each year. A telescope is provided as well as binoculars. A Samsung 32'" TV and Panasonic DVD/Video player are also provided. New living room blinds and balcony chairs. Made to measure curtains in the bedroom and a dressing mirror have also been recently installed.
A utility cupboard in the hall contains all you may possibly need: Iron, Ironing board, hoover, spare light bulbs, small step ladder and even torches in case you take an evening walk.
Luxury in Cornwall!
You will have the free use of the Tennis Court in the grounds but need to bring your own equipment. You can reserve the court using the book by the payphone on the ground floor.
RESTRICTIONS: NO SMOKING IN THE APARTMENT OR INTERIOR OF THE BUILDING.

A wonderful week in Cornwall
The initial view from number 11 was wonderful, almost unbelievable. This coupled with the wonderful facilities made it a fabulous week for my wife and myself. The property was well maintained with everything you could wish. A 10 minute walk took you into Coverack, with its pub and restaurant. Would certainly recommend it.
Perfect in every way
Without wishing to repeat what others have said, this apartment is outstanding. The photographs, good as they are, don't actually do it justice. Faultless and the owner is first class. I could not praise this apartment highly enough. The best I have stayed in by some margin
This property is wonderful, the view from the bay window is glorious, a perfect place to relax. The location on the edge of the village is so quiet With just a short scenic walk down to the village facillities.. I would definitely return again and again.
What can we say that has not already been said. What a wonderful apartment; we have stayed in many apartments and cottages over the years but this must rate as one of the best. It is so well equipped, spacious and comfortable down to the last detail. The views are absolutely stunning and no photograph really portrays the reality of the natural beauty of the coastline - just WOW!!!
As other reviews have made abundantly clear this is a fantastically equipped, and very comfortable apartment, in a simply stunning location. You'll find you spend an incredible amount of time just gazing out the window.
We couldn't fault any apect of the apartment as the owners attention to detail and customer service was second to none.
As regular visitors to the Lizard area I'm sure we will return here at some point and have no hesitation in recommending both the apartment and the area in general.
Lots of comments have previously been made about what's available locally. Our personal suggestions are:
Walk from the apartment to Kennack Sands along the coast path.
Travel to, and park in, Lizard village then walk via the lighthouse to Kynance Cove. Gorgeous location and a great cafe just above the beach.
Beautiful location, beautiful apartment
This was our third visit to Bryan’s beautiful apartment. The apartment is absolutely as described - fully equipped, clean, light and airy and supremely comfortable. Bryan has thought of everything, right down to a telescope and binoculars and plenty of local walking maps, which we used extensively. The views from the apartment are very spectacular situated as it is on this gorgeous stretch of coastline. Bryan responded quickly to our enquiries, and instructions for key collection were clearly given. We plan on returning and staying longer. Highly recommended. Thanks Bryan once again.

“For many years we enjoyed holidays in various locations in Cornwall. In 1988 we rented an apartment on Coverack Headland and fell in love with the location, views, peace, walks and the unspoilt nature of the area. We have continued to enjoy our holidays on the Headland ever since. Just after retirement, the apartment we now own came onto the market for sale. We and other owners consider it has possibly the best views of any of the few properties on the Headland. Whatever the weather, the scenery is always interesting. Sunrise over the sea is beautiful and really encourages you to get out of bed and have breakfast on the balcony. The little fishing boats come out from Coverack Harbour and empty their lobster pots etc., and ships of all sizes pass from time to time. Hawks can be seen hovering, looking for prey and just occasionally you might see a basking shark or seal in the bay below.”
Activity and Interests
Coverack, on the Lizard Peninsula, is one of the last unspoiled, still active fishing villages in Cornwall, yet you are within easy reach of major tourist attractions, such as the Eden Project, St. Ives with its many art studios and galleries, The National Maritime Museum - Falmouth, the National Seal Sanctury, Lands End and the Minnack Theatre. You can enjoy the romance of historic houses and gardens or the national heritage sites of Cornwall's tin mining past. There are several wild life sanctuaries and nature reserves on the Lizard and the fishing villages of Coverack, others on the Lizard Peninsular and those close to Penzance such as Mousehole and Newlyn. Newquay, the surfers' paradise, is situated on the north coast as is St. Ives, Sennon cove and of course Lands End a little further west..The South West Coastal Path lies beneath the apartment windows and is a source of excellent walking with breathtaking views.The market town of Helston is about 9 miles away. Local shops are available in Coverack and the village of St. Keverne, (2.5 miles).

Cancellation or early termination of a booking!!
In the event of you requiring to cancel a booking the following term will apply:
1. More than eight weeks before your holiday start date, 20% of the total rental booking will be retained/required, with a minimum of £100 per week after deduction of the £100 booking fee.
2. Less than eight weeks before your holiday, 100% of the rental price will be retained. (If I am fortunate to fill the vacancy by a late discounted booking, I will return up to 80% of the fully paid holiday after the holiday booking has been completed, subject to any special offer/discount I have to make to fill the dates.)

In good weather, imagine drifting to sleep with the bedroom door to the balcony open and listening to the waves breaking on the shore! Wake up to sunrise in the bedroom between March and October! The coastal walks are regarded by many as the best they have enjoyed! The claim of 180 deg. sea and coastal views from the apartment is true. Not a single roof top or other obstruction in any direction!”

There are ironing facilities at the apartment and towels, (except beach towels), tea towels and linen are included in the rental cost.

All bed linen is supplied. There is a wardrobe to the right of the bedroom door in the hall and a hair dryer is provided.

- The apartment is so sunny and warm that it has not needed central heating, but electric night storage heaters throughout the apartment, an electric blanket for the bed, plus effective double glazing mean you needn't shiver in the cooler months. The fridge has small freezer compartment and there's a cooker hood over the stove. There is a second door to the balcony, (south and east facing), with a wooden table and two chairs for meals and drinks. We have a dedicated car parking space and there's a drying area in grounds, which also have a pond and stream. The gardens lead directly to the South Cornish Footpath and private beach. The ground floor laundry room which also contains a mini-library has a commercial washer and dryer (coin-operated). Free internet access via a WiFi connection is available (for which you need your own laptop/PC) and a land line for local/emergency calls. Plus a payphone on the ground floor of the building. 32' TV with all Freeview channels.
