The outside fire pit is the perfect spot for roasting s’mores or use the lawn for a great game of bocce or corn hole. The 7 person salt water hot tub on the back porch is a great spot to ease those tired muscles after a day of hiking or skiing.

The main floor consists of an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen. The living room includes a gas fireplace, large flat panel TV, large antique chest full of family games, comfy velvet sofas to curl up in after a long day of hiking or snowboarding. The dining room table seats 6, with additional seating at the kitchen island. The kitchen is very well appointed with everything guests need to prepare a meal (minus the food!)
Down the hall from the main living area are located two bedrooms and one bath. One bedroom has two iron twin beds, a day bed and antique furnishings and paintings. The back bedroom has a queen size bed. The downstairs bathroom has a tub/shower combo and a washer/dryer. All linens and towels are provided.
The master bedroom is on the second floor. There is a king size bed furnished with luxury linens, large closet and master bath. The master bedroom has a private deck with amazing seasonal views of Grandfather Mountain. The deck is a great place to kick back with a glass of wine and a book. A single serve coffee maker makes that morning cup in bed only a few steps away.
Enjoy the front porch which has two rocking chairs or guests can also enjoy the back deck, off of the dining room, which has two rocking chairs, a picnic table and a gas grill in addition to the hot tub. Don’t forget the fire pit! No matter the weather, a fire is always enjoyable. Firewood and starters all provided. Take a stroll through our yard and come upon your very own flowing stream. Grab a chair, refreshing glass of (insert your own beverage choice!) and kick back to the soothing sound of the stream.
The cabin is equipped with 2 sets of golf clubs for your use.

Central Location to Beech and Sugar
This house was perfect for our girl's trip. We were a group of 5 and we were very comfortable. It is located in-between Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain, and maybe 1/2 mile to the little Town of Banner Elk. Close to Grandfather Mountain and Hawksnest. The house has 3 bedrooms total. 2 bedrooms downstairs. One with 3 single beds, and one with a queen bed. The master bedroom is upstairs with a King bed and a bathroom and a private deck. The beds were super comfortable. There is a great back porch with a salt water hot tub awesome after a day on the slopes. The host super responsive and helpful to all our questions. Easy check in and easy check out. We had everything we needed including a beautiful gas fireplace with plenty of throws for cuddling. Bring your friends, food and bibs and you are all set. :-)

Great getaway to ski
We had a fabulous stay - and happy to get snowed in for a day and half with the hot tub! It feels like you are faraway from the hustle and bustle but it only took us 10 minutes door to parking lot to go skiing. The thoughtful details (like a keurig in the master), the robes, the ice melt at front and back doors were all fabulous. Can’t wait to come again!

Wonderful cabin & host!
The location is awesome- It is so accessible, including driveway, and just down the road from grocery stores, restaurants - while still being easy drives to Beech, Blowing Rock etc and all the fun activities. Walking in, you see every detail was carefully thought out (down to the s’mores ingredients and - don’t laugh- good toilet paper; not the cheap stuff lol!!). Awesome hot tub, fire pit, comfy beds, stocked kitchen, games. The host Stephanie is so responsive and great. We absolutely LOVED our stay!!

Wonderful home away from home
My family of 6 stayed during our 1st family vacation. The home was decorated for Christmas, which was so sweet. We made s’mores outside and the kids played in the yard. We spent a lot of time skiing, but got to enjoy the local towns stores and restaurants. It was perfect!

We are both NC natives with a love of all that NC has to offer. Our full time residence is at the coast, but we are super excited to now have a mountain getaway as well. We've vacationed in the high country for years and can't wait to share this experience with our visitors.

Why they chose this property

We searched for a year or two for just the right property for us. Privacy and seclusion were important but also easy access to all that the high country has to offer. We fell in love with this cabin at first sight. The amazing yard, creek and firepit were icing on the cake for us!

What makes this property unique

Two key unique features of our cabin are its combination of secluded feeling and easy access. These two in combination are quite rare in the area. We also love the flat open yard area - also quite rare in the high country. Many homes are built on unlevel sites and have limited open grassy space for outdoor activities.
