Spacious 65sqm apartment available for holiday/long term rent in small peaceful hamlet within walking distance to Lakka.

Just a short 15 min walk will take you to two of Paxos's best, yet least known, beaches. Lakka is easily walkable within 15mins or just 3 min in a car. Loggos 5mins drive. Gaios 15mins.

Modern furnishings with new appliances. Air conditioned throughout. Broadband Wifi. Shared swimming pool

Open plan studio design with double bed, with well equipped kitchen, full cooker/fridge freezer, open plan sitting/dining area (extendable dining table) with sofa bed. Sizeable shower room.

There are outdoor sitting areas on balcony & rear of property with distant sea views from upper terrace.

Close to Lakka yet just outside for peace & quiet: Lakka village is the northern most village on Paxos. With its stunning turquoise horseshoe harbour its no wonder people return here year after year.

With its bustling waterfront with many bars & tavernas its easy to miss the other outstanding tavernas & bars in the quaint little backstreets of the village. Daily bus service to Loggos & Gaios removes the need for a hire car, although these can be easily obtained should you wish to be more independant.

By far the best way of seeing Paxos is by renting a small motor boat for the day & exploring the dramatic west coast & the stunning Anti Paxos white sand beaches.

Karen & I fell in love with Paxos when we visited old friends of UK who'd moved there in 2006. We loved Paxos so much we decided we wanted to own a little bit of the island where we & our family could spend our holidays. Location is great as its in such a peaceful hamlet yet within 20mins you can be in Lakka or also on one of Paxos' 2 most unknown yet most stunning beaches.

There are just 5 apartments here & most are owned by overseas owners so there's hardly ever anyone to share the pool with. Set in such a peaceful hamlet you rarely see a car, but the occasional donkey may pass your door. Small traffic free lanes lead to two of Paxos' least known yet most stunning beaches & also a nice traffic free stroll in the evening will take you into Lakka village

Excellent value for money

Located in a very quite place, the apartment is espacious , comfortable and charmingly decorated. Although it is not close to the main villages, it will only take you 10 or 15 minutes to get there by car.

The best feature was the price, much cheaper than other options in Paxos.

We started to search for accommodation at the last moment, so we felt so lucky when finally we found this apartment , besides it had pool as we wanted!!

We thoroughly recommend this apartment.

ORKOS Apartment, Apergatika

This is our third holiday on Paxos. We find the island and its people friendly and relaxing.

Previously we have stayed in accommodation closer to Gaios, but decided on a change of location this year.

Apergatika is rightly described as a hamlet. However Lakka is only a very pleasant 2K walk away and has shops, restaurants and tavernas to suite most tastes.

The bus stop is at the end of the lane so Loggos and Gaios are within reach within 20 minutes or so.

The apartment is open and relaxing, clean and fully provided with ample linen, utensils and furnishings etc.

The balcony provides an ideal place for outdoor eating, and the ajacent pool provides an opportunity to swim and sun bathe in peaceful surroundings

As we know that LAKKOS (the lower apartment) is almost identical in all respects,we would thoroughly recommend this accomodation.

Orkos Studio apartment - Apergatika village.

This spacious studio is every bit as good as we hoped for for our family of two adults, a 17 year and a 12 year old. They were happy with the lovely pool, the nearby beach of Orkos and Lakkos and the water sports available at Monadendri. We liked the village of Loggos especially with its fantastic little bars and eateries but Lakka was really just as nice where we hired a boat and had lovely crepes at Giannis. On another day we went around the whole island on a big boat and spent a few hours on Anti Paxos where the beach and sea is as stunning as the pix.

The studio was charming; very clean and tidy with an excellent maid service every other day; Huge shower room and well fitted kitchen. Beds very comfy with nice nick nacks throughout ............and decent selection of games and books for the kids. We glanced at CNN and other sat channels but used the DVD more on th nights we didn't venture out. Car hire was an after thought for us and we were glad in the end that we did but could have managed without. Local bus - a big experience - was close by. Walks through th olive groves are a must as was people watching in any of the quaint harbours of the villages. Overall a great studio and fantastic value compared to other places in the same locality - £40.00 a night forall four of us. Will def be returning to this very place.

The 'A Place In Paxos' apartment is situated in the quiet hamlet of Apergatika which is just a 15 minute walk from the busy village of Lakka. The apartment, totally refurbished and re fitted in the autumn of 2011 has brand new electrical appliances and the subtle, high quality furnishings were new for the 2012 season. A full list of what is in the apartment and some photographs of the interiors, is listed on this holiday website and on our own website www.aplaceinpaxos.com. Air conditioning, broadband wifi and a swimming pool are perhaps the highlights as it would be a surprise to find all 3 available in any other studio on the whole island of Paxos.

Lakka has all that the visitor to Paxos may need and is no more than a kilometer away while the the village of Loggos is about half an hour distant - try and find the donkey steps down to the waterfront by the disused soap factory. Loggos is arguably the prettiest of all the Paxiot settlements as it nestles around the horsehoe bay.

Both these villages have a range of tourist offices and shops - some with free deliveries - supermarkets (of sorts), a bakery, a deli, coffee shops, cafes, creperies, bars and restaurants of all descriptions.

Boats for the day can be hired at both villages while a range of further amenities such as a pharmacy, car hire, motor cycle hire, banks (and ATM) and newspapers from all around the world are found in the biggest village on the island - Gaios.

Two of the best, and quietest, beaches on the island of Paxos are within walking distance of the apartment (Lakkos & Orkos Beach) and there are many memorable walks based in this part of this part of the island. The walk down to Orkos through the wooded glades is described by Ian Bleasdale, the acknowledged authority on walking in Paxos, as the best footpath walk on the island .......and there are literally hundreds to choose from in his guidebook.

Other excellent walks (or drives) are to the Lakka lighthouse and the beach below; the towering cliffs of Erimitis, the deserted windmill over Loggos bay; the more lively Monodendri beach; the olive groves of Dendiatika; the church at Hypapanti and the spectacular Trypitos Arch.

You choose; one of our visitors last year summed up their first visit to our studio by saying that thy couldn't make their minds up. There was either too much to do or nothing to do........ as the beaches (and the studio's swimming pool ) were that quiet and that good.

They have booked again for 2013 !
