Romantic Attic with Superb View of Madonna del Orto Gothic Church

This 85² apartment, in an old venetian house, is my personal residence in Venice.
A fully restored traditional wood beamed open attic. The two storey flat offers an elegant entrance hall with large double window overlooking the front canal.
At upper floor: living room with top quality fully equipped kitchenette, 1 master bedroom with impressive view of Madonna dell’ Orto church front, a second double/twin bedroom, 1 spacious bathroom WC/bidet/ bath/shower, + a second WC with hand basin. A decorative spiral staircase leads from the living room to a small roof landing overlooking the picturesque canal in front of the house.
Easy to reach either by water taxi or public transport: Vaporetto 4.2 and 5.2 from Piazzale Roma car terminal or from Santa Lucia train station.
By Alilaguna/Orange direct line from Venice -Marco Polo airport.
No bridge to cross with your luggage to reach the apartment from the nearest water bus stop ( Madonna dell’ Orto, 100 mt away).
The apartment is recommended both for romantic escapes and for family holidays.

This property is truly lovely in a very special location.

The apartment is lovely. It is furnished really well and you have everything to be truly comfortable. It soon feels like home. The immediate area is full of everyday Venetian life, not tourist life. The location makes it easy to get around, either on foot or by boat. What a lovely experience.

High quality apartment

Thank you Arrigo for a wonderful stay in your lovely apartment. We were met at the water bus stop by Arrigo who took us back to the apartment. He spent some time showing us how everything worked and giving us really good local information including things to do and best places to eat locally. High quality apartment in a lovely quiet area of Venice but within walking distance of all major sites. Night before due to leave Arrigo phoned to say we could leave any time the following day as he did not have anyone else coming to stay on that day, this was very useful as we had a late afternoon flight.

Venetian Experience

This is my second stay over a three year period to this beautifully restored attic apartment which is immaculately presented and maintained, comfortable and quiet with all the amenities you would need to live as you would at home. There is a charming view from both the kitchen and main bedroom that offers a uniquely perspective on the Madonna del Orto church and canal. The church bells toll at regular times during the day. Arrigo, the host is always extremely welcoming and eager to assist, possessing a wealth of local knowledge to ensure we have the best possible stay.

Welcomed like family

Our phenomenal experience in Venice was larely due to Arrigo, the apartment owner. He always responded quickly and even sat with us upon arrival to map out best restaurants and site seeing musts. He even went above and beyond to send it all over emaIl that same night of our arrival. This was key to enjoying the most authentic experiences in Venice.

Superb accommodation away from the hustle & bustle

Arriving in Venice we were met by Arrigo who took us to his appartment.The appartment had everything we needed and was situated in Cannaregio, the quieter part of Venice. The property was clean and had air conditioning throughout. Arrigo recommended various places not in the guide books as well as advising us on which tickets to buy when visiting the islands of Murano & Burano. Arrigo also booked a number of restaurants which proved very helpful. All in all a great break in Venice, and we know where to stay when we return.

The apartment is located in one of the most beautiful and peaceful corners of the unspoiled , truly venetian ( and actually also very trendy!) Cannaregio District, beside the magnificent Madonna dell’ Orto gothic church, containing cherished treasures including some Tintoretto masterpieces.
It is very easy and confortable to reach by public transportation either you arrive from Piazzale Roma car terminal, from the Train Station or from Marco Polo airport, with no bridge to cross with your luggage between the nearest waterbus stop ( Madonna dell' Orto ) and the apartment.

What makes this property unique

From home you can reach Rialto Bridge and its colorful market in 10 minutes walking, Piazza S. Marco in 10 more minutes....
Many cafes, Osterie ( the typical venetian eateries) and foodshops are in a short walking distance.
Air-con and MOSQUITO SCREENS in any room!
On the bookshelf you will find a good literature on Venice, useful to plan your stay in our amazing City. ....Of course my personal hints are always included !,,,
