About the property

Tregiffian Barn was rebuilt in 2015 and offers even more space, good gardens and stunning views out to sea, and across the surrounding countryside. Comfortable bedrooms with great beds. Tregiffian Barn includes an ensuite shower room off the master bedroom.

On a perfect Cornish evening at Myn Tea, with the sun setting across the sea, the Isles of Scilly are clearly visible in the distance. What better place to relax. A real getaway destination, with beautiful sea views and no crowds.

Myn Tea has all the benefits of fantastic sea views and proximity to the beach, without having to put up with crowds of people. It's a pleasant walk, or short drive down to Sennen, but many people like to just chill out here and kick back for a week of joy, whatever the season or weather.

We know that cooking on holiday is one of the joys that is often foregone when we're working, so the kitchens are well equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm.

Beach holiday? Surfing holiday? Twitchers? Walkers? Cyclists? Or just looking for a place to read, kick back and relax.

The nearby Sennen Surfing Centre is renowned for its excellent tuition for budding wave riders of all ages.

If you're looking for the beach then the lovely Gwenver is just down the lane, when the tide is out the beach adjoins Sennen, both being great places for surf, and both with life guards in the holiday season.

Nanjizel is a longer walk, and Porthcurno, rated as one of the world's best beaches by the Sunday Times and Conde Nast, is just a short drive.

The rugged cliffs offer challenging walking on both the north and south coasts, with Lands End being within reach for most people, and a welcome drink can be had there.

Mousehole, Penzance and St Ives all have great galleries, restaurants, and their own charm. Penzance also has the famous Jubilee Pool lido, and the Cornish Pirates rugby club.

Cape Cornwall's golf course is right on the edge and only 5 miles away.

The UNESCO World Heritage Mining Sites of Levant and Geevor are a short drive anyway. At Geevor you can even go underground as part of the tour there.

Chysauster and Carn Euny are both ancient settlements with clear remains and only a little imagination required to recreate bronze age village life there in your mind.

A hugely popular cottage where many guests book their next stay as soon as they arrive - get in early to secure your holiday using our website www.thecornishway.co.uk

About Seb Blakemore

Seb has been lucky enough to have lived in West Cornwall for the past 7 years. After coming down for an extended break he fell in love with this beautiful area and never left!

Based in St Just, Seb took on an old wreck and worked to create a comfortable home. This is now also the headquarters for The Cornish Way who look after luxury cottages for a select group of owners and their lucky guests.

The aim of The Cornish Way is to provide holidays that fill you with joy - and the bespoke selection of cottages Seb offers are sure to deliver.

Why Seb Blakemore chose Sennen

Views so good you'll want to sit and watch the sea all day. The beach and rugged countryside of Cornwall's far west are at your door, but when you need to kick back in a gorgeous place, the gardens will welcome you home.

What makes this barn unique

If a holiday by the sea, with absorbing views, in a spacious comfortable home is your dream then look no further.

On the edge of the small hamlet of Tregiffian, above Gwenver Beach, is the most romantic cottage that has it all. Stunning views out across the big blue sea, a large, comfortable social space, a balcony for sundowners and a charming garden.

Filled with light by day, you'll want to stay here your whole holiday. In fact several guests have come back in winter to take a month over a project, to write, paint or to indulge in the luxury of reflection.

Amazing stay close to the beach

  • 5 of 5

Tregiffian Barn is absolutely the best house we ever stayed, so don't think twice. The house is perfectly located close to the beach Gwenver with a beautiful view above the beach and the sea. The house itself is amazing, beautiful furnished, very clean, equipped in everything you need. We were welcomed with flowers and wine and thanks to Kelvin (The Cornish Way, www.thecornishway.co.uk)for the fabulous tips and support. I promise we will return.

A beautifully restored granite barn with views to die for make Tregiffian the perfect Cornwall bolthole at any time of the year. It is light, modern and spacious, impeccably presented and has every facility you could wish for in a holiday home.

Set in a very quiet location and with views over Gwenver beach this is a walkers paradise. Access for exploring the region is easy and the area boasts a wealth of interesting villages, fine eateries and superb scenery. Can't wait to go back next year!

First class Coastal Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Tregiffian is the most heavenly coastal hideaway in a very special corner of Cornwall. A perfect location for that great mix in life; rugged coastal walk to Sennen for breakfast, shopping in St Ives, discovering the local Cornish artists and good pub food .

The barn has been converted to the highest standard and is in immaculate condition. Everything works beautifully, probably the best shower I have ever had ! Lovely open plan design but snug and cosy in the evenings. Stunning views over the sea. I would highly recommend and can't wait to go again.

Myn Tea is on the edge of Tregiffian, a small hamlet at the end of a mile long lane.

The uninterrupted view looks out across a couple of fields towards the Scilly Isles, and is perfect for enjoying some of the amazing sunsets we get over the sea.

The walk to the beach takes about ten minutes back down the lane, and Sennen with its pubs, cafes and restaurant is just a little further on.

The cliff path starts pretty much from the door step.

West Cornwall is a stunning region offering huge variety including beautiful beaches, rugged cliffs, secret coves and wild moor land. It's steeped in history, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and UNESCO World Heritage Site in recognition of the mining heritage.

It's attractive for the art colonies of St Ives, Newlyn, Penzance and Lamorna. Surfers flock to the havens of Gwenver and Sennen. Cyclists come for the challenge of the hills and the beauty of the roads. Twitchers come to spot our unusual feathered visitors. And the rest of us love the romance and ideal family holiday location.
