In this corner of green, contended in the sky, time seems to have stopped. The table at the beginning of the country mentions: Margone, where silence is a precious commodity. Silence, the real one.
It was therefore natural to call the Enjoy the Silence apartment.
For centuries the country has lived in isolation; only since 1950 enjoys the panoramic S. P. 18.
From the edge of the cliff the view sweeps over most of Trentino: the valley of the lakes with Garda, the Bondone, the Paganella, the Lagorai and the Dolomites.
The apartment is on the first floor of a typical stone house and is at guests' disposal. In all there are 6 BEDS, WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF ADDING A CRADLE.
On the ground floor it is possible to store bicycles and baggage.
Renovated in 2017, it has a completely redone bathroom. The kitchen and the rooms have been renovated without modifying their historic features in the structure and furnishings.
Ideal for those seeking tranquility and an authentic contact with nature.
The heat of the wood stove fire and a good book will be your companions at the end of the days spent in the open air.
Kitchen - living room with wood stove, kitchenette, fridge, oven, microwave, radio and sofa bed. THE TELEVISION IS MISSING FOR CHOICE.
Bathroom with shower, washing machine and convector.
Towels, bath towels and blankets are at your disposal.
Information dossiers and tourist material. Books and board games. First aid kit.
NB: THE APARTMENT IS UNBORGED as there are 14 steps to be overcome to access it.
NB: the apartment is available from April to October as the NIGHT ZONE DOES NOT PRESENT CENTRAL HEATING, a liquid fuel stove is then supplied in the colder months.
It will be me, Luca, to welcome you, and occasionally my parents. My dad, my mother and my sister, who live on the second floor, can be a direct and privileged channel for your requests and information. Naturally always respecting their privacy and their schedules.
At home you will find a regulation with telephone numbers that you can call in case of need.
The small village of Margone, a balcony on the Valle dei Laghi, about 1000 meters above sea level on Monte Gazza, is the highest and least populated village of the Municipality of Vallelaghi. The village is 7 km from Vezzano and 20 from Trento.
The village has about 50 inhabitants, which in summer become many more.
IN THE COUNTRY THERE ARE NO TYPE OF STORE, NE BAR OR RESTAURANTS.
In the apartment you will find the bare essentials: coffee, sugar, salt, oil, vinegar.
I therefore invite you to DO THE EXPENDITURE, for example in the village of Vezzano, before going up.
Our water is very good: drink it!
NB: LIKE IN ALL THE TRENTINO ALSO THIS IS A AREA OF PASSAGE FOR THE BEARS, THEREFORE ATTENTION!
I advise you to read the rules for a good cohabitation with the bear that you find in the apartment.
However also other animals are at home: foxes, roe deer, deer, chamois, hares ...
From Margone one can not only see but also touch Trentino.
From the village passes the historic San Vili path (which connects Madonna di Campiglio to Trento, while from Vezzano the Scal trail leads, which for centuries was the only way of connection with the valley below.
Relaxing is a leisurely stroll in the village, along the meadows and the surrounding woods.
As for the mountain bike of great interest is the mountain ring Gazza - Paganella - Andalo - Molveno, and then enter the "playground" of the Brenta Dolomites, or go down into the valley and then back. If possible I'm available to accompany you in mtb.
At Margone you will find a paragliding school and a point where enthusiasts fly their model airplanes.
In addition, our neighbor, Alessandro Beber, is an experienced mountain guide, available for advice and outings with a backpack.
The Valle dei Laghi, as can be seen from its name, sees the presence of several lakes where you can swim, windsurf or fish: Lamar, Santo, Terlago, Lagolo, Santa Massenza, Toblino, Cavedine, Bagatoli and Garda. Nearby also the lake of Molveno, Tenno and Ledro.
Many castles, visitable and private: Terlago, Madruzzo, Toblino, Drena, Arco and the fortress of Riva del Garda.
In Santa Massenza there is the hydroelectric plant built in the largest tunnel in Europe.
For lovers of climbing many are the cliffs and the ferrate. Thanks to the mild climate of the valley you can climb all year round.
Finally, for art lovers I want to point out the following museums:
- in Trento the Muse, the new science museum designed by Renzo Piano, the Galleries of Piedicastello, where the local historical and contemporary reality is told, and the aeronautical museum Gianni Caproni, founded in 1927 by the aeronautical engineer and pioneer of the Italian aviation Caproni;
- between Arco and Riva del Garda the MAG, the Alto Garda museum, with an eye on the painter Giovanni Segantini;
- in Rovereto the Mart, the modern and contemporary art museum, and the historical war museum, one of the main Italian museums dedicated to the First World War, located in the fifteenth century castle.
Parking is located at the beginning of the village, a few meters from the apartment. Margone, although small, is served by bus in the morning and in the early afternoon for Trento.
By car you can reach Trento in 20 '(18km), Alto Garda Trentino in 35' (Arco, Riva, Torbole) and the Brenta Dolomites area (Molveno in 40 ', Madonna di Campiglio in 1 h).
PS: it is possible to drive from Margone in Gazza to the malga with permission issued by the municipality of Vezzano with a 16 euro stamp duty. For info ask the forest keeper Daniele Martini (reception Monday morning from 10.00 to 12.00).
